Sharon Stone is Aphrodite

Basic Instinct star will play Greek goddess of love.

Sharon Stone, Alicia Silverstone and Christopher Walken have signed on for Marc Turtletaub’s feature directorial debut, Gods Behaving Badly, an adaptation of the Marie Phillips novel, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Stone will play the goddess of love Aphrodite, Walken will play Zeus, and John Turturro is Hades, lord of the underworld.

Silverstone and Ebon Moss-Backrach star as a young couple who encounter of group of Greek gods in modern day New York City.

Oliver Platt (Apollo), Edie Falco (Artemis), Phylicia Rashad (Demeter), Nelsan Ellis (Dionysos), Gideon Glick (Eros), Henry Zebrowski (Hermes) and Rosie Perez (Persephone) complete the cast, and filming is set to begin soon in New York.

Stone recently filmed Waco with Adrien Brody and Kurt Russell. Christopher Walken is awaiting a release date for A Late Quartet with Philip Seymour Hoffman, while new mom, Alicia Silverstone, is also awaiting a release date for the comedy Butter with Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Garner.
