The actress recently had her father moved into her home in Hollywood along with her mother.
According to the National Enquirer, Joe Stone, 79, has been suffering from oesophageal cancer since 2002. Doctors recently advised him that his days are now numbered.
Stone, who has been travelling regularly to her parents’ home in Montana, decided to put her career on the back burner in order to take care of her father. Her parents will be sharing the luxurious home with the actress and her three adopted children, Roan, 9, Laird, 4, and Quinn, 3.
A source explained, "Right now it’s about making her father comfortable and spending as much time as she can with him and her mother. Sharon spent thousands of dollars fixing up a large bedroom in her home with a hospital bed and the special equipment her dad needs. She’s tried to make it as much like home as possible for her folks."
Stone’s actions have put an end to recent quarrelling with her sister, Kelly. The two women have been at odds since the beginning of the year over their charity, Planet Hope. Kelly, who was touched by her sister’s compassion, put her dispute aside.
