Sheryl Crow’s next album, Detours, will be on shelves on February 5. The singer’s fans can download the first single, Shine Over Babylon on iTunes.
Crow described this song as having an environmental essence and on the same lines as Bob Dylan. Crow also stated that she was inspired by recent events in her life. She fought breast cancer and broke up with Lance Armstrong.
Detours was recorded at a farm in Nashville that belongs to the singer. Among the 24 tracks recorded, Crow picked 14-15 for the new album. Crow’s son, Wyatt helped her compose the song Lullaby for Wyatt. This song is also part of the soundtrack for the movie Grace is Gone.
