In an interview with Vanity Fair, Crow revealed that she told her former fiance, cyclist Lance Armstrong, to keep his distance from her. Crow, 44, was diagnosed with cancer only two weeks after her painful split with the Tour de France winner.
The singer said, "It was difficult, you know. I know he wanted to be there. I do think about Lance every day. And I think about his kids every day."
Lance Armstrong has also battled cancer, and learned of Crow’s diagnoses via the telephone. He wanted to be there to support her, but he said, "(Sheryl told me) it would be hard on her in trying to manage the break up and the diagnosis. And I totally understood."
