Shia LaBeouf involved in Vancouver bar fight

Transformers star caught on video in drunken fistfight.

Transformers star Shia LaBeouf appears to be following in his alcoholic father’s footsteps with his involvement in yet another alcohol-fueled incident.

Last week, the actor was involved in a fight outside a Vancouver bar. According to the radio station in Vancouver, News1130, the 25-year-old actor was drinking at the Cinema Public House where the incident occurred.

“It is not clear what provoked the attack, but Shia threw the other man to the ground inside the bar.

"Security personnel then took both parties outside, where the … man ripped off his shirt and started punching Shia.”

In a video published online by TMZ, a man on crutches approaches the duo to break up the fight, waving the shirtless man off the actor. LaBeouf, who was lying on the ground, gets up and tries to give chase to the man, but friends restrain him, saying, “…Stop! Look at me!”

You can hear a friend trying to calm the drunken LaBeouf, repeating “Better lay low.” The actor’s representative has not responded to requests for comments. The star was photographed riding a bicycle a few days after the incident, and showed no visible injuries.

As far back as 2008, the actor lost his driver’s license for a year for drunk driving after he was in an accident and badly injured his left hand. Just this past February, he was involved in another bar brawl in Los Angeles.

LaBeouf is in Vancouver working on a film, ironically titled The Company You Keep, costarring Anna Kendrick, Stanley Tucci and Robert Redford.
