Mandate Pictures hired Shia LaBeouf to star in the action romance The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.
LaBeouf will play Charlis Countryman, an ordinary young man who falls in love with the beautiful Gabi. The only problem is that Gabi is already someone else’s girlfriend and Nigel just happens to be the leader of a criminal gang.
Charlie must endure all sorts of blows to woo his sweetheart and ends up learning that the only way to save her will be to die.
Dante Ariola, best known as a commercial director, is putting on a film director’s hat for the first time. Shooting begins this fall.
In the meantime, Shia LaBeouf stars in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, alongside Michael Douglas and his girlfriend, Carey Mulligan. The film opens on September 24. LaBeouf and Mulligan met while making the movie and have been together ever since.
