The actress will be directed by Nicolas Roeg in the thriller Night Train.
In this film, Weaver’s character will investigate the motive for the brutal killing of the Police Chief’s daughter.
The story is based on the novel by Martin Amis, and it will be produced by Steven Soderbergh.
The cast will include Elizabeth Shue, Michael Madsen, and Toby Jones.
Weaver can be seen in other films in the next year, including Avatar by James Cameron. It opens in theatres on December 18, 2009.
