Simon & Garfunkel, undoubtedly one of the most well-known twosome in the history of music, announced that they will be part of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, going on during the last two weekends of April, from April 23-25 and April 29-May 2.
The duo has been booked for April 24 during the first weekend.
This year’s festival in the Big Easy is set to be particularly spectacular, with a multitude of historically-renowned international artists on the roster, including Pearl Jam, Aretha Franklin, Van Morrison, The Neville Brothers, Lionel Richie, The Allman Brothers Band and Anita Baker.
This will be the first time that Simon & Garfunkel join the festival’s lineup, although previously, Paul Simon once performed in the fest.
Organisers for the jazz festival mentioned that Simon & Garfunkel’s performance will be the only one happening on American soil this year.
