Simple Plan Working on Fourth Album

Rockers Simple Plan are currently working on their fourth album.

Members of Simple Plan are hard at work on their fourth album, which will follow their eponymous album, Simple Plan, released in 2008.

Guitarist Sebastien Lefebvre admitted that the pop punk group is busy writing as much as possible for the new disc.

Their most recent album mainly covered the theme of heartbreak. This time, they’ve written on things that have happened to them or their friends on tour. Lefebvre explained that the group usually tends to focus on more political problems, because they are highly politicized, however, the band doesn’t plan on being a political group. Their new material is about their own lives and first-hand experiences.

During an interview with BE Interactive, the guitarist revealed that the group had not yet reached the point of choosing collaborators for the album. Lefebvre said that when they have four or five songs on hand, then they would know what type of album it will be, and could begin the collaborating process.

If all goes well, Simple Plan’s fourth album will hit the shelves in spring or summer 2010.
