Singer Lou Rawls Dies

American singer Lou Rawls died Friday in Los Angeles at the age of 72.

The blues, jazz and soul star enjoyed a career in music that lasted for five decades.  One of his best-known songs is You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine.

During his long career, the singer earned three Grammy Awards and recorded 60 albums.  A Chicago native, Rawls began singing in church as a child.  In the 1950s, he moved to Los Angeles where be started his career as a gospel singer.

Rawls, who was hospitalized last month, had been undergoing treatment for lung cancer.
