Snoop Dogg no longer banned

Snoop Dogg finally gets permission to legally enter Britain after being banned for several years.

Snoop Dogg won a legal battle to enter Britain. Starpulse reports that the government there banned him three years ago.

In 2006, the hip-hop star angered British immigration officials when he was arrested following a scuffle at London’s Heathrow Airport.

He was denied entry into the country the following year. Authorities said his previous convictions on drugs and weapons charges made him a threat.

Snoop Dogg fought the ban and filed a legal challenge to get it overturned. He asked stars like David Beckham and Sir Paul McCartney to help him get the decision reversed.

The rapper won his battle after several attempts. Two immigration judges concluded that border authorities were wrong to deny the artist entry.

The decision was officially announced on Monday (March 1). Now the star can travel to Britain whenever he wants.

British Home Office officials issued a statement commenting they are "disappointed" by the judges’ decision.
