According to NME, Radiohead drummer Philip Selway will soon head out on tour to promote his first solo album.
The drummer is launching Familial on August 30 with the Bella Union record label. He will start the tour the following month. Besides scheduled appearances at the Bestival, End Of The Road and Electric Picnic music festivals, Selway will be the opening act for Wilco at some of the group’s concerts.

Electric Picnic Festival – Sept 4
Bestival – Sept 11
End Of The Road Festival – Sept 12
London Royal Festival Hall w/ Wilco – Sept 14
Newcastle Academy w/ Wilco – Sept 15
Glasgow Barrowlands w/ Wilco – Sept 16
Meanwhile, Selway and other members of Radiohead are working on a follow-up album to In Rainbows, released in 2007. It remains to be seen what the finished product will look like as the band has said it no longer wants to record a full-length album, but rather release songs as they become ready.
