Sonic Youth Returns

The rock group Sonic Youth is making a comeback, offering their fans all-new songs.

RollingStone.com reports that the independent rock group, Sonic Youth, will soon be making a return to the studio to record a new album.

For the first time in 18 years, Sonic Youth will be making new music the way they used to. The group is at the brink of penning a deal with a new, independent record label. Their contract with the big label, Geffen Records, ended upon their release of 2006’s compilation, Rather Ripped.

So far, Thurston Moore has written about a half-dozen songs.

In November, the band should retreat to the studio, hoping to release their new material in the spring.
