Soy Is Beneficial Against Cardiovascular Disease

Soy is beneficial against cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

Agronomy Journal has published a study by researchers at the University of McGill, Montreal, which demonstrates the benefits of soy.

In this study, they found that soy has anticancer properties and also reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Soybeans are well known for containing essential amino acids and are a good source of protein. In addition, they lower cholesterol due to its lecithin levels and improves cognitive functions.

However, this study demonstrates that soy also contains tochopherol. Normally, tochopherol comes in 4 forms and soy was found to contain a-tochopherol which contains the most  antioxidants, and are transformed into vitamin E in the body. The higher the concentration of tochopherol in the legume, the more benficial it is to the body.
