Sparkly sneakers from Miu Miu

Italian designer Miuccia Prada unveils fall footwear fashions.

Miu Miu haute couture fashion brand from the Prada fashion house, has expanded its fall footwear collection, reports Coco Perez.

The label is launching a collection of five new eyecatching sneaker styles featuring classic tennis shoes adorned with glitter, lamé, velvet, patent leather, studs, or crystals or, in some cases, a combination of the above.

The shoes will debut later this month – both in stores and online – in gold, silver, white, black, red, and blush, and are priced from $450 to $585.

Having launched a collection of mini-bag charms earlier this year, designer Miuccia Prada continues her adventurous creation of original accessories with a recent collection of vibrantly-colored jewelry. The unique necklace designs combine different sizes of colored beads punctuated with a brooch ornament.

The chunky jewelry is displayed on a damask-covered bust that also serves as packaging for the designs. The new line is already available in Miu Miu boutiques worldwide and online at miumiu.com.

Young actress Hailee Steinfeld, 14, stars in the label’s autumn-winter 2011 advertising campaign. Nominated for an Oscar for her role in True Grit with Jeff Bridges, Steinfeld follows in the footsteps of Katie Holmes, Vanessa Paradis, and Kristen Dunst among others.

Miuccia Prada created the Miu Miu brand in 1993 as a way to alert the public to sophisticated and avant-garde new trends in fashion. The collection was a success, and includes women’s ready-to-wear, bags, footwear, and accessories.
