No Doubt lead singer and fashion designer Gwen Stefani has unveiled the first images of her new spring-summer L.A.M.B. shoe collection, reports Coco Perez.
The new collection of platform stilettoes is partly inspired by the 80s with tonal material blocking for certain styles. Other design features include the serpentine weaving of leather, fluid forms of embroidery and patchwork, and the light reflective qualities of sequins.
Widely recognized for her eclectic personal style and natural elegance, Stefani, 41, created L.A.M.B. out of her love of design. L.A.M.B. is an acronym for Love Angel Music Baby, which was coincidentally also the name of her first solo album. "I just wanted to make clothes I would really want and things that would represent me."
Just last month, it was announced that the singer will become the new face of L’Oreal Paris.
“I love playing dress up, on stage or shooting videos, it’s always been one of my favourite parts of being in a band,” said the pop star. “To get to work with such a modern, talented group of people is really exciting. I’m a lucky, lucky girl.”
Known for her signature dark red lipstick, Stefani’s first advertising campaign will promote the brand’s Infallible Le Rouge lip colour. The singer and fashion designer joins fellow A-list celebrities including Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto, 26, Crazy in Love singer Beyoncé Knowles, 29, and Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria, 35, in promoting the beauty brand.
