According to Variety, Tucci will be acting alongside Streep and Amy Adams for the Columbia Pictures movie, Julie & Julia. The movie will be directed by Nora Ephron.
Tucci will be playing Streep’s husband. Streep’s character is Julia Child, who is a frustrated secretary who tries to undertake cooking 524 recipes from Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Julia Child even sets up a blog where she discusses her culinary experiences.
Ephron wrote the screenplay, which is based on the book by Julia Powell, Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment. Filming will begin in March.
