In 2010, the Coachella Music and Arts Festival will bring together some of the biggest names in the music business. The festival will take place from April 16-18.
Among the performers will be Jay-Z, Muse and the Gorillaz. Several other stars will also be taking the stage in the Coachella Valley, which is an Indian territory. Other heavyweights already confirmed for the event include Pavement, Thom Yorke, Faith No More, Them Crooked Vultures, Dead Weather and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
The festival first took shape in the 1980s. The early shows featured performances by The Specials, P.I.L., Gary Numan, Echo & The Bunnymen, Devo and Grace Jones.
More than one hundred artists are expected to entertain the crowds during the three-day event.
