Rumors suggest that English fashion designer Stella McCartney wants Gossip Girl star Blake Lively to represent her label in America, reports Coco Perez.
According to an unnamed source, McCartney and Blake bonded recently over their shared love of animals and vegetarian lifestyle.
"Blake is an animal lover and believes in cruelty-free fashion so when she met Stella at the Met Ball last month she found they shared many of the same ideals," the source told the Daily Mail.
"Stella thinks Blake would be the perfect brand ambassador for her company in America."
Lively – who is currently dating Inception star Leonardo DiCaprio – was recently spotted wearing a McCartney creation during a photo-shoot.
Currently, however, the news remains a matter of speculation and rumor, and it would not be the first time that eager fans erroneously linked her to a fashion house.
Late last year, buzz began to circulate that Lively would be the new face for Victoria Beckham’s collection – only to be quickly shot down by a representative for the designer.
"I don’t know where this one has come from – other than from Blake being a fan of the Victoria Beckham collection. She is not Victoria’s muse and these is no ‘face of’ the advertising campaign."
The 23-year-old Lively was chosen as a Chanel brand ambassador earlier this year, posing in a series of ads for their Mademoiselle handbags.
