Stella McCartney has been cited on Time‘s list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
She was listed between Gordon Brown and Barack Obama, and is the only person from the fashion industry named on the list.
Her friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, had only high praise for the designer, who is also Paul McCartney’s daughter. "You cannot accurately characterize Stella McCartney, 37, without underlining that she is a vegetarian. Always has been. And even if you are not interested in being a vegetarian, somehow Stella gets you to believe. She manages to convince you that killing animals is needless and cruel and bad for the environment," said the actress.
