Step Up director has Bieber fever
Even cute-faced pop stars encounter a few bumps on the road. Justin Bieber’s camp recently announced a film in the works about the young Canadian’s life, starring, who else, Justin Bieber as himself. However, as soon as they named a director (An Inconvenient Truth‘s Davis Guggenheim), he backed out.
Now director Jon Chu confirms he is stepping in to work on the film, due out on Valentine’s Day 2011. Chu seems like a much better fit for this project, having previously directed the popular teen films Step Up and Step Up 3D. The director posted a message on Twitter yesterday to share the good news: "It’s Official…I HAVE BIEBER FEVER."
Justin Bieber performed in Nashville on Wednesday (August 11). He donated a portion of every ticket sold at that show to flood relief. Concert promoter AEG Live matched the donations. As a result, Bieber handed over a cheque for almost $33,000 to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
The pop sensation explained why he had to get involved. "Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember," Bieber shared, "and you know Nashville, there’s so much music history here."
