Stereophonics announce new album

Stereophonics have announced their eighth studio album, ‘Graffiti On The Train’, to be released on February 25.

Stereophonics have announced their new album, ‘Graffiti On The Train’.

The ‘Dakota’ band will release their eighth studio record on March 4, preceded by a new single, ‘Indian Summer’ on February 25.

Speaking about making the album, singer Kelly Jones said: "I found myself walking into a studio with 40 unfinished ideas, rather than 10 finished ones.

"By doing that the songs became way more unpredictable. The band and everyone involved had a good time doing it because we knew we were doing something we hadn’t done before."

The album was produced by Kelly – who is in the band with Richard Jones, Adam Zindani and Jamie Morrison – with Jim Lowe. Composer David Arnold – who has worked on number of James Bond films – also provided string arrangements for several tracks.

Kelly has previously said because of all the new songs he had written, the band were planning to record and release two new albums.

He said: "We’ve been making a new album. We’ve ended up doing two albums. We’re going to release volume one and volume two over the course of 18 months."
