The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Steve Carrell will play the lead in the fantasy flick, The Beaver, a film that falls somewhere in between Being John Malkovich and Lars and the Real Girl.
The screenplay will be written by the new screenwriter, Kyle Killen. A director has not yet been chosen.
The story is about a man who always walks around with a beaver puppet and treats it like a human with feelings.
Steve Carrell will soon be shooting Get Smart 2, expected in theatres in 2011, and Brigadier Gerard, set to open in 2010.
