Steve Jobs movie ‘isn’t factually accurate’
Danny Boyle’s ‘Steve Jobs’ isn’t factually accurate, according to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.
The 65-year-old computer pioneer has revealed that sizeable amounts of the new movie are made up – but he still found it »enjoyable » to watch.
He shared: »Everything in the movie didn’t happen. Every scene that I’m in, I wasn’t talking to Steve Jobs at those events. »
Despite this, Wozniak endorsed the director’s decision to be creative with the plot.
He told Bloomberg TV: »It’s the artistic freedom to make a movie that is enjoyable.
»We had meetings on multiple occasions … tiny, tiny bits that were somewhere else kind of got used by him and painted by him in a different way and a different place. »
Meanwhile, Michael Fassbender – who stars as Steve Jobs in the film – revealed recently that he’s »not a very techie person ».
What’s more, the 38-year-old star also admitted to feeling »very nervous » about accepting the role because he didn’t know anything about the American businessman.
He said: »I’m not a very techie person. I use all the Apple products, but I had no real insight into him.
»I was nervous. I was very nervous. It was going to be a big challenge, the volume of words alone. »
