The director of films like Traffic and Solaris, has hired Sasha Grey to star in The Girlfriend Experience.
The low-budget drama will follow the life of a high-priced prostitute.
Written by the team behind Ocean’s 13, Brian Koppelman and David Levien, The Girlfriend Experience will will be one of six projects that Soderbergh is doing with multimedia entrepreneur, Mark Cuban. The film is currently shooting in New York.
Soderbergh’s next film, The Informant, starring Matt Damon, opens in theatres on March 27, 2009.
