Steven Tyler rocks new clothing collection

Aerosmith frontman is inspiration and ambassador for new Andrew Charles label.

With his own unique and iconic sense of style, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has finally dived into the world of design as the inspiration and ambassador for the new music-themed clothing line Andrew Charles, designed by Tommy’s brother Andy Hilfiger.

The line’s branding will be completely inspired by rock ‘n’ roll: even the logo features a guitar pick, and Tyler’s likeness will appear on the tags. The men’s collection includes hoodies, T-shirts and denim, while women have a broader selection including baby dolls, leopard print jackets and dress tops.

"I’ve just got more female energy," Tyler said in an interview with Fashionista. "I like that flowing and nurturing, and I’m a songwriter, so I’m into form and fashion and how it all goes together. Always have been, so [the collaboration] is just perfect."

The label is also planning a neckwear collection called Rock Scarf, inspired by the bohemian scarves worn by Tyler on stage. According to Hilfiger, he’d also like to create "a line of guitars and amps and other products out of the norm," he told WWD.

Andrew Charles may soon feature other celebrity collaborations: "Right now we’re focusing on Steven. It could really go on and on with him. But we’re also sponsoring the Ellie Goulding tour. And we manage an indie band called The Click Clack Boom. And Hired Killers, Michael H’s band, play at all of our events," Hilfiger explained to Blackbook.
