The 61-year-old rocker recently spoke about the accident on August 5 in Sturgis, when he fell from the stage while performing Love in an Elevator.
The Aerosmith singer told People magazine, "After twenty stitches on the back of my head, and a broken left shoulder, I just want to say that I’m plain grateful that I didn’t break my neck!"
Tyler also took the opportunity to thank everyone who came to his aid that day, beginning with his band mates, his fans, and the medical personnel in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Despite some minor technical glitches resulting in an hour delay for the show, Tyler believes that the performance that night was one of Aerosmith’s best.
