One of the most prominent legends about Sting that stays rooted in women’s imaginations has caused Coco Sumner, the singer’s daughter, much humiliation.
The subject of Sting’s alleged eight-hour tantric sex sessions with wife Trudie Styler came up in an interview conducted by Britain’s Love magazine with the star’s daughter.
Sumner revealed, "Bob Geldof made up this thing and it stuck – and it’s an international joke!"
She added, "It’s embarrassing when people bring it up. I don’t really have anything to do with my parents’ sex life. They love each other. So what?"
The rumour began when the 1998 biography, Sting – Demolition Man, was published. "We were chatting and talking about having hours of sex. It then became really a joke which went around the world like a forest fire," Sting explained.
