The singer/songwriter, whose solo career has surpassed his gig with The Police, will release a new album this fall.
If On a Winter’s Night is the 57-year-old singer’s ninth studio album, in addition to the five he made with The Police.
The disc will include remakes of traditional songs, lullabies and winter carols, along with two original compositions.
Sting’s last album, Songs from the Labyrinth, disappointed fans, and only came in at number 25 on the Billboard, while his previous albums always placed in the top 10.
The disc is expected for release on October 27 via the Deutsche Grammophon label, better known for its classical music productions.
