Earlier this week, Scott Weiland confirmed that the new Stone Temple Pilots album was finished. He was pretty stingy about the details. He now provides some more info.
First off, the album will be called simply Stone Temple Pilots, nothing more. The album is the band’s first since they got back together and the title reflects this.
Secondly, the album hits shelves on May 25. This release is a long time coming for the California group. They released their last album nine years ago.
Thirdly, there will be 12 songs on the Stone Temple Pilots album. Weiland touches on personal subjects like his divorce and the death of his brother.
Guitarist Dean DeLeo also picks it up a notch on this album.
The group will head out on tour this summer. Their first concert is scheduled in Austin, Texas on March 18. No Canadian dates have been announced yet.
