An ongoing investigation has prevented American country music duo Sugarland from recovering their equipment from the stage that collapsed Saturday night at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, reports Billboard.

A powerful storm with high winds, ripped the stage scaffolding and light rigging apart – killing five and injuring at least 48 – just before the duo was about to go on stage.

Many people were trapped under the rubble. Sugarland took to Twitter to reassure fans that they were safe and asked them to pray for “the people of Indianapolis.”

Just prior to the accident, organizers had to ask spectators to evacuate due to weather warnings, unfortunately, the storm arrived earlier than predicted.

The next Sugarland concert is scheduled for Hard Rock Casino in Albuquerque on August 18.
