Kelly Clarkson is "super happy".
The 30-year-old singer is "in love" with boyfriend Brandon Blackstock – who manages singer Blake Shelton and is country legend Reba McEntire’s stepson – and says being content in her personal life has made her more confident.
She said: "I think as you get old you just get less worried about the little stuff that doesn’t matter and you focus more on the bigger picture. And, you know, I’m also in love.
"I’m just super happy right now."
Kelly insists nothing about her relationship with Brandon would surprise people because they aren’t "cool" enough to have unusual habits and prefer to keep life "super real".
She told People: "We’re very super real – like, what you see is what you get. So I don’t think we’re cool enough to have something super surprising [about us]."
Brandon is the son of the ‘Stronger’ singer’s manager and she feels grateful that they work within the same industry because they both understand how it can impact on their personal lives.
She said: "One of my favorite things is we’re both in the business. He gets my job and he gets how busy it can get, and he gets the sacrifices that we both have to make with our jobs."
