Catapulted to stardom since her discovery on Britain’s You’ve Got Talent in April 2009, Scottish singer Susan Boyle shows no signs of slowing down.
This week after performing a new song You Have To Be There, from the Swedish musical Kristina by ABBA’s Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, the 50-year-old singer announced on U.S. television that her third album, Someone to Watch Over Me, will launch on November 1 – just in time for the holiday season.
"I’m so pleased the audience enjoyed the song," says Boyle in a statement. "I really loved performing that big number. I was also a little nervous introducing something new. ‘America’s Got Talent’ – it’s where I started with my first album, so it was wonderful to be back and for the support.”
Debut album I Dreamed a Dream launched November 23, 2009, followed by The Gift on November 8, 2010, and combined, the two albums have sold almost 6 million copies.
