Susan Boyle Sets the Bar Again

The Scottish singer’s has beaten a new record with her first week of album sales.

Last April, when Susan Boyle first approached the Britain’s Got Talent show stage, she began a process that would 6 months later win her the title of England’s best selling female artist upon her album’s debut.

The 48-year-old Scottish woman’s album, I Dreamed A Dream, sold 411, 000 copies during its first week of release, setting a new milestone in Britain. Worldwide, her total album sales reached 2 million units.
Boyle’s debut album is said to be personal, and includes songs such as her rendition of Wild Horses by the Rolling Stones, which is the first track off the album that has garnered rave reviews.
Evidently, the singer wasn’t allowed to add I Dreamed A Dream to her album, the Les Misérables musical number which she sang during the show’s auditions, and the vessel that propelled her to overnight stardom after pulling in hundreds of millions of YouTube clicks.
