Susan Boyle sings … Depeche Mode

Britain’s Got Talent winner covers Enjoy the Silence for upcoming third album.

With her third album in as many years, Scottish singer Susan Boyle continues to enjoy an amazing success story. As with her previous album, The Gift (2010), Boyle is capable of surprises.

After taking on Lou Reed’s Perfect Day and Crowded House’s Don’t Dream It’s Over last year, the fifty-year-old singer has tackled one of the best-known Depeche Mode songs Enjoy the Silence from their 1990 album Violator.

Rolling Stone has exclusive rights to play the song on their website until the album Someone to Watch Over Me hits stores on November 1.

Boyle’s appearance on the television show Britain’s Got Talent became the most popular viral video on YouTube in 2009, spawning her first album, I Dreamed a Dream (2009).
