Susan Boyle recorded her part of Everybody Hurts, the song project by Simon Cowell to support Haiti. Upon returning home from the studio, she surprised a man who has broken into her house. The incident happened yesterday (January 26) in West Lothian, where the new international star still lives in a humble lodging.
A friend of the 48-year old singer told The Sun newspaper, "Susan got home to find an intruder halfway up her stairs. She was with another female, who was dropping her off, and only expected to be with her for a couple of minutes."
When the intruder saw her come in, he ran past her and out the door. "Susan is unharmed but is obviously very, very shocked. The guy has seen her come in and bolted out straight past Susan."
Lothian police confirm that they detained someone in connection with last night’s incident.
Last year, Boyle found two men looking in one of her windows. Police recommended she install an alarm system with a panic button.
