Sylvester Stallone Shares Thoughts on Next Rambo Film

Actor Sylvester Stallone is planning to bring Rambo back to the silver screen.

The 60 year-old star has been feeling nostalgic recently.  In addition to bringing Rocky Balboa back to theatres, he is now planning a new installment of the Rambo films, after an 18-year absence.  The project is currently titled Rambo IV, and is scheduled to begin production in October in Thailand.

Stallone said that he first needed to decide who his Rambo character would be fighting.  He said, "You know, it’s hard. Politics have changed so much. Who do we fight? The Finns? You can’t do that.  The Dutch? That’s not gonna work. Wooden shoes are not gonna look cool. I called Soldier of Fortune magazine and said: ‘What is the most critical man-doing-inhumanity-to-man situation right now in the world? Where is it at?’"

The actor has chosen Burma as his foe, and has written the script already.  Rambo IV is expected to be in theatres in May, 2007.
