T.I. being sued

T.I. is being sued for allegedly using parts of a song that did not belong to him.

Starpulse is reporting that rapper T.I. is facing a breach of copyright lawsuit for the song What You Know that won him a Grammy award.

Rapper Motoe Blizzid, aka Nathan Filby, accuses T.I. of using parts of the song, Reverence, released in 2004, and adding them to his song.

In legal documents, Filby says the two songs have an almost identical melody in terms of substance, form and rhythm.

Filby has sung with Snoop Dogg and Ludacris. He wants a jury trial in his lawsuit against T.I. and is asking for financial compensation and profits from the sale of the song.

T.I. is now in a detention centre near his Atlanta property, after a prison stay for firearms possession. He left prison in Arkansas last December 22 and was transferred to this centre where he has more freedom.
