Adam Sandler Returns To His Roots

Sandler promised to never again perform in a stand-up comedy show since he was forced to return to his roots in the film, Funny People.

He began his career in comedy clubs while studying at the University of New York. The funny man was then recruited by a talent scout to write for the show Saturday Night Live, IMDb.com reported.

Next, he abandoned stand-up comedy for an acting career, but had to return for his role as a comedian in the new film by Judd Apatow. This experience made him swear never to do it again.

Apatow said, "Adam hadn’t done stand-up comedy for 12 years. We arrived unannounced at a lot of clubs around town and I remember we were driving to one place and he just said, ‘This is exactly why I don’t do this – I so do not want to do this!’"
