Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann were recruited by Judd Apatow to play in his upcoming comedy distributed by Universal Pictures.
The screenplay was also written by Apatow, and shooting will commence in the summer or fall, reported Variety.
Sandler and Apatow recently collaborated on the screenplay of the film Don’t Mess With the Zohan by Robert Smigel. The movie starring Sandler will be in theatres on June 6.
Apatow often works with the same actors. His wife, Mann, and Rogen appeared in his first two films, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up. Mann is also playing opposite Owen Wilson in Drillbit Taylor, co-written by Rogen and produced by Apatow. Paramount will be launching the comedy on March 21.
Before shooting this new comedy, Sandler will be filming the comedy Bedtime Stories for Disney.
