Ring Video Doorbell is 31 percent off today

Time for a deal coupled with home security.

The Ring Video Doorbell is on sale by 31 percent off through Amazon, now $89.99.

Ring is a popular smart home device that provides real-time video and audio feeds of the front door, or back door. The Ring Video Doorbell captures video and audio of anyone who approaches your door, and sends an alert to your smartphone or other compatible devices.

This is the 2020 model and features a 1080p HD camera with a 160-degree field of view. The Ring also has infrared night vision, so you can see who’s at your door even in low-light conditions. As for audio, there is a two-way audio system with noise cancellation, allowing you to communicate with visitors at your door through the built-in speaker and microphone.

The Ring Video Doorbell is compatible with Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control the device using voice commands. It also integrates with other Ring products, such as the Ring Chime and Ring Alarm security system.

Amazon Luna now available on the Samsung Gaming Hub in Canada

The Samsung Gaming Hub now supports Amazon Luna in Canada, one month after the game streaming service launched here.

Available on 2021-2023 Samsung smart TV models, the Samsung Gaming Hub combines game services from multiple companies, including Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now. With this latest update, Canadians can stream games from Amazon’s Luna service directly from their Samsung TVs.

To access Luna, you’ll need Amazon’s proprietary Luna controller or a compatible USB 2.0 and Bluetooth controller.

However, you’ll need a subscription to actually play games on Luna:

  • Luna+ ($12.99/month with a 7-day trial) — includes dozens of games from various publishers, such as Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2, Sonic Colors Ultimate and Yakuza Kiwami
  • Ubisoft+ Multi-Access ($22.99/month) — dozens of games from Ubisoft’s catalogue, including Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Beyond Good & Evil and Watch Dogs: Legion
  • Jackbox Games ($6.49/month) — includes every Jackbox party game (Quiplash, Trivia Murder Party, Drawful and more)

Alternatively, Prime members get a few different Luna games each month. For April, that includes Yakuza Kiwami 2, The Jackbox Games Party Pack 3, Horizon Chase Turbo and The Adventure Pals.

AirPods 2nd-Gen and 3rd-Gen discounted on Amazon Canada

Apple’s AirPods 2nd-Gen and 3rd-Gen are once again on sale from Amazon Canada. While the deals on not staggering, it’s certainly something that puts a bit of money back into your pocket.

The AirPods (2nd-Gen) are now $167.99 and offers wireless charging, improved battery life, better connectivity and hands-free “Hey Siri” support. With a single charge, users can expect to get around five hours of listening time or three hours of talk time. With the charging case, users can get up to 24 hours of listening time or 18 hours of talk time.

The 2nd-Gen AirPods also come equipped with Apple’s H1 chip, which offers faster and more stable connectivity than the first-generation AirPods. This makes it easier for users to switch between devices and enjoy a seamless listening experience.

The AirPods (3rd generation) were released in 2021 and represent an upgrade over the 2nd generation AirPods that were released in 2019. The AirPods 3rd gen has a more compact design with shorter stems and a more rounded shape compared to the 2nd generation, along with a new charging case.

In addition, AirPods 3rd gen supports Spatial Audio, which provides a surround-sound-like experience and creates a more immersive audio experience. This feature is not available on the 2nd generation.

The 3rd gen AirPods are more expensive than the 2nd generation, which is now on sale for $227.99.
