Amazon is back at the drone drawing board with plans to launch its first drone delivery service in the United States.
The drone delivery service, which was initially announced back in 2013 by Amazon executive chairman, Jeff Bezos, will soon start operating in Lockeford, California.
Delivery with drones on thousands of everyday items in one hour or less.
Amazon says ‘sense-and-avoid’ features have been added to the drone to navigate around any obstacles in both air transit and when landing on the ground.

Amazon will give away a free camera to Cloud Cam subscribers after revealing plans to shut down its service.
The Verge and MacRumors discovered that users will be offered a free Blink Mini security camera and a one-year subscription to the Blink Subscription Plus service (approximate value of $100 per year) by Amazon before the service ends on December 2nd.
Owners will also get a 4th-gen Echo speaker as a replacement for the smart home hub.
Amazon customers received an email about the shut down of Cloud Cam severs where Amazon says it plans to focus Blink, Ring and other smart home devices. This means that video recording storage will no longer be available and the ability to connect to smart locks via the Cloud Cam Key Edition will end until substituted with an Echo.
However, even though the camera is free, features such as quick-video access and motion-based recording will cost about $30 USD per year (approximately $38 CAD) as part of a basic subscription with Amazon-owned Blink.

Notably, Toronto’s Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian) directed all six episodes of the show, while Ewan McGregor and Vancouver’s Hayden Christensen reprise their prequels roles of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, respectively.

It’s worth noting that Montreal’s own Shawn Levy (Free Guy) is a producer and director on the show. Additionally, keep in mind that the second half of Season 4 Vol. 2 will drop July 1st, with a fifth and final season also on the way.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic must team up with a crafty fox named Tails to defeat the evil Dr. Robotnik, who’s back and more dangerous than ever thanks to his new ally, Knuckles the Echidna.
Based on Sega’s Sonic video game series, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was directed by Jeff Fowler (Sonic the Hedgehog) and features returning cast members Ben Schwartz (Sonic), James Marsden (Tom), Newmarket, Ontario’s own Jim Carrey (Robotnik), Tika Sumpter (Maddie) and Canadian-raised Lee Majdoub (Stone). Additionally, Idris Elba (Luther) voices Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessy reprises her fan-favourite role of Tails from the Sonic games. It’s also worth noting that much of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was shot in Vancouver, just like the first film.
