Taylor Swift gets friendly at awards shows

Taylor Swift says the best thing about awards shows is getting to party with her pop star pals.

The ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker – whose relationship with superstar DJ Calvin Harris became public at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards – confessed that making friends with other musicians at the ceremonies has helped her to enjoy the events which can feel ”competitive” and ”strange”.

She said: ”That’s the cool part about the musical climate right now, is that I go to these award shows and I really do feel like I’m seeing a lot of my friends and the more friends that I make that are awesome and cool and are at these events, the less it feels like some strange competitive atmosphere.

”That doesn’t feel as nice as going to an award show and feeling like, ‘Hey! It’s everyone that I really loved!’ ”

Taylor is close friends with British musician Ed Sheeran and is pals with Sam Smith, and she is so thrilled with their success.

Speaking on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, she said: ”I think that it’s been amazing to watch artists like Ed and Sam to put out their first single and have things hit so quickly and they are people that I am a huge fan of, I love what they do and I think that they are absolutely authentic and to top it off they are amazing people, they are fun to hang out with.”

The ‘Shake it Off’ hitmaker is currently on the road with her ‘1989 World Tour’ and invited non-music pals, models Cara Delevingne and Gigi Haddid to walk the stage with her at the Philadelphia gig – though she wouldn’t reveal whether she will treat fans in the UK to the same surprise now she’s in Britain.

She said: ”I think it’s fun to have people pop up and make special guest appearances on the tour even if they’re not musicians, like, fans still love them. The cool thing about surprise guests is that they are surprises.”

Kirsten Dunst criticises Apple for leaked photos

Kirsten Dunst has hit out at Apple after naked photographs of her were allegedly leaked online.

The 32-year-old actress took to her Twitter account last night (09.01.14) to criticize the American multinational corporation after it emerged that a flaw in its iCloud service may have allowed an unidentified hacker to steal explicit images of her and ”100 other celebrities” and publish them on the image-sharing forum 4chan.

She tweeted: ”Thank you iCloud,” along with a picture icon of a slice of pizza and a piece of poop.

Other stars hit by the scandal include Jennifer Lawrence, Mary E. Winstead and Kate Upton, who have all confirmed their nude photos are real.

While, Ariana Grande and Victoria Justice are claiming the alleged leaked images of them are fake.

In a statement released yesterday (01.09.14), the FBI has confirmed an investigation into the scandal has begun.

It reads: ”The FBI is aware of the allegations concerning computer intrusions and the unlawful release of material involving high profile individuals, and is addressing the matter. Any further comment would be inappropriate at this time.”

Meanwhile, Apple is yet to comment on whether its software was the blame for the leaked images.

A spokeswoman for the company told the MailOnline:

”We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report.”

Chris Martin ditches Gwyneth Paltrow’s vegetarian diet

Chris Martin has ditched Gwyneth Paltrow’s vegetarian diet.

The Coldplay frontman – who ”consciously uncoupled” from the ‘Shakespeare in Love’ actress in March after 10 years of marriage – has started eating meat again following the split but still encourages their ten-year-old daughter, Apple, to stick to vegetarianism.

He told BBC Radio 2: ”I am not really vegetarian. I eat meat.

”I was vegetarian for a long time but, for various reasons, I changed.

”My daughter has been a vegetarian since she was born. I keep getting tempted to go back to vegetarianism but I don’t eat too much meat.”

However the 37-year-old singer – who also has an eight-year-old son, Moses, with Gwyneth, 41 – insists changing his diet has been a personal choice.

He explained: ”The honest answer why I changed is because I thought you can only eat something that you should be able to kill.

”I mean, could you kill a fish? I wouldn’t like it but I probably could eat the fish… or a giraffe.”

Meanwhile, the former couple have reportedly become a lot closer again following the split after spending lots of time together with family and friends.

A source previously said: ”They haven’t made any concrete decision to get back together, but it’s a possibility. They’re discovering a dynamic that works for them all over again, like when they first got together. They’re getting along really well.

”They’ve loving time together with and without the kids. She didn’t want to end the marriage. He’s been a great father, and that has helped keep the flame alive. They love each other, and if the romance comes back, they’ll go with it if it feels right.”

Dr. Dre buys Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s mansion for $40m

Dr. Dre has reportedly bought Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s Los Angeles mansion for $40 million.

The rapper and producer has had his eye on the impressive custom-built home in Brentwood for a few months now and finally signed the paperwork yesterday (06.04.14) to become the new homeowner.

According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, Dr. Dre, 49, managed to secure the property for $10 million less than what the couple had originally listed it for.

The 14,000-square-foot property will suit the rapper down to the ground as it boasts six bedrooms, a fully-equipped gym, library, infinity pool and even a moat and waterfall.

Meanwhile, Gisele and Tom have reportedly forked out $40 million over the space of four years to build their dream home, but plan to relocate to Boston permanently, where they’re busy constructing yet another massive 14,300 square-foot mansion over five-acres of land.

The supermodel and NFL star – who have a four-year-old son, Benjamin, together – also recently splashed out on a $14million apartment in New York City.

Airlines getting ready to adopt Apple’s new Passbook

(Relaxnews) – It has emerged recently that Delta Airlines, American Airlines and Virgin Australia are all gearing up to introduce Apple’s new feature the Passbook as the new mobile boarding pass.

Virgin Australia confirmed on Monday that it will be introducing Apple’s Passbook, a new feature that is part of the company’s new iOS6 system to be released this Wednesday.

Virgin Australia tweeted, "The rumors are true, we’ll be supporting Passbook for iPhone." The new feature will allow passengers to store boarding passes using Apple’s application.

This weekend, travel blog Skift reported that Delta Airlines and American Airlines were also planning on including Apple’s Passbook. A spokesperson from American Airlines told the travel blog that they will be "rolling out an app update in the coming weeks in support of Passbook."

The iOS6 system is part of Apple’s new iPhone 5 release, scheduled for Wednesday, September 12. The new iOS6 system is due to include new features such as new maps, new languages available for Siri — the phone’s virtual personal assistant — and the Passbook, among others.

With the new Passbook feature, iPhone users will be able to store boarding passes, movie tickets, retail coupons and loyalty cards in one place. The mobile devices can then be scanned to access the movie, board a plane or use loyalty cards.

Early this year, the high-speed network Eurostar connecting London with Paris and with Lille and Brussels launched a mobile boarding pass option as part of the Eurostar train application for Android users. The app generates a mobile ticket and allows passengers access to the train with a quick scan.

The company made the feature available for Apple users (iPhone, iPod, iPad) in March this year.

New Coldplay song sends chills

Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin joined Apple CEO Steve Jobs at a press conference yesterday (September 1) in San Francisco.

Martin made a surprise appearance and played the Coldplay classic Viva La Vida. He then offered the crowd a real treat and introduced a new piano ballad, Wedding Bells. He joked: "This is a new song called Coldplay 2.6 and it has a lot of new features, it features seven different kinds of chords and even a new one that our closest rivals have no idea about."

Before he started tinkling the ivories, Martin added: "It might not even come out. [This] could be the only time it ever appears."

It would be a crying shame if this was the only time Martin performs this song. Have a listen to Wedding Bells and see if it gives you goose bumps too.

Rolling Stone reports the conference was held to announce "the company’s new line of iPods and a social network for music, called Ping, that will allow iTunes users to connect with their friends for music recommendations."

Louis Vuitton iPad case

After making cases for the iPhone and the iPod, the LVMH luxury group decided to create one for the Apple’s new iPad.

British mag GQ exclusively introduced images of the new case by Louis Vuitton for Apple’s latest technological marvel.

This elegant case will be available in two designs, one featuring Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram design and another with the  monochrome Damier Graphite design.

GQ.com says the case: "is the first unveiled by a major designer for Steve Jobs’ all-conquering tablet. It lends the device the feel of a lightweight, ultra-portable attaché case – appropriate given that it is superseding your offline files and folders. It also gives your iPad some much-needed protection, because believe us, as much as you want an iPad, you will accidentally drop it at some point."

The iPad case by Louis Vuitton will only be available in stores in 2011 for a cost of 275 € or $363 US.

Beatles Fans Have to Keep Waiting

During a press conference in London yesterday (November 24), Paul McCartney confirmed that talks between EMI and Apple Records have halted.

The 66-year-old singer explained, “When it’s something as big as the Beatles, it’s heavy negotiations. We’re [the band members and their estates] very for it, but there are a couple of sticking points. It’s stalled. No change there then!”

McCartney didn’t elaborate on the points of disagreement between the two sides, but Rolling Stone believes that it could be iTunes’ pricing structure that creates a problem for Apple Records.

Last March, it seemed that a deal was nearly reached between the two companies.
