Two NHL teams are headed to Australia.

The National Hockey League has been looking to expand beyond the borders of North America for quite some time now, hosting a growing number of international games season after season, and it sounds like they intend to expand their reach further than ever before.

On Saturday night, NHL insider Jeff Marek revealed on Hockey Night in Canada that the NHL intends to send a pair of teams to the land down under with a game to be played in Australia as early as next season.

“Although nothing official yet from the NHL, we know the league is going down under for games in Australia,” revealed Jeff Marek on Saturday night.

Additionally Marek revealed the identity of the two teams he believes have been earmarked for the trip, the Los Angeles Kings and the Arizona Coyotes.

“Again, nothing official coming out from the league but it sounds very much like it is trending in the direction of the Los Angeles Kings and the Arizona Coyotes,” added Marek.

The inclusion of the Arizona Coyotes seems like a bizarre decision given the team’s relative lack of success in their own market, but perhaps NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is just desperately trying to grab some more eyeballs on his pet project in the desert.

Nicole Kidman Is Embarrassed

During an interview on Sydney’s radio show, 2dayFM, the actress said that she is totally embarrassed about her work in her last film.

"I can’t look at this movie and be proud of what I’ve done," said the Australian star.

However, she did mention that she loved working with Brandon Walters and Hugh Jackman.

Kidman does not usually see the films that she makes when they’re completed.  She did, however, attend the Australia premiere to support her director, Baz Luhrmann.

After the release of the film, critics were tougher than ever on the actress, who fled Australia.  Kidman explained, "We ran because I didn’t want to read anything. I didn’t want to know. I saw my sister and my family and we saw Keith’s family and then we were straight on a plane."

Nicole Kidman Changes Her Mind

The actress was planning to release a journal that she kept while filming the big-budget Baz Luhrmann flick.

However, Kidman now feels that her diary entries are too personal to share with the world.  According to Starpulse.com, the star shared a lot about her pregnancy and personal life in the journal.

"I was going to release the diary and then I thought, ‘No, I can’t release it, this is too personal.’ Then bits of it ended up in the press, so people have read little bits of it," revealed the 41-year-old actress.

Nicole Kidman Gets Booed

Actress Nicole Kidman did not receive her typical red-carpet treatment while attending her New York premiere for Australia, also starring Hugh Jackman.

The actress gave several short interviews on the red carpet, alongside her husband Keith Urban.

The film, directed by Baz Luhrmann, was strongly criticised because of its immense budget that has been called excessive for such a project.

This is the second time that Kidman has worked with Luhrmann, after they teamed for Moulin Rouge! in 2001.
