Alec Baldwin pleads not guilty to homicide charge

Alec Baldwin has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter, reports NBC.

In October 2021, on the set of Rust, he was using a prop gun to rehearse a scene when the weapon went off, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

Baldwin maintains that he never pulled the trigger on the revolver during the incident. He claims he simply pulled the hammer back.

As the investigation progressed, Baldwin’s position – based on the belief that the revolver was loaded with harmless dummy cartridges – became a source of controversy. After reviewing the case in New Mexico, special prosecutors highlighted forensic test results showing that the accident could only have occurred if the trigger had been pulled.

Death on set: Alec Baldwin charged, prosecutors make offer to gunsmith to find out where fatal bullet came from

New developments are emerging just a few weeks before the opening of the trial of the gunsmith on the Rust movie set, when according to Variety, prosecutors on the case would have offered Hannah Gutierrez Reed a favorable sentence if she explained the reason for the presence of real gun bullets on the set.

Reed is embroiled in a lengthy legal battle, which could have far-reaching consequences for her, following the terrible accident on the set of Rust that led to the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins. Reed has pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and tampering with evidence for the trial scheduled for next February.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed, the gunsmith in charge of the Rust set, is accused of negligently bringing real bullets onto the set, which would have ended up in Alec Baldwin’s gun. While he was rehearsing a scene in the film, the gun discharged and caused the cinematographer’s death, in 2021.

Alec Baldwin is terrified of ending up in prison

Just when actor Alec Baldwin thought he could finally put behind him the events on the set of Rust that led to the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, new information suggests that charges could once again be brought against the actor.

In October 2021, Alec Baldwin was involved in a tragic incident on the set of the film Rust. While Baldwin claimed he never pulled the trigger on the Colt .45 that killed Halyna Hutchins, new tests by New Mexico firearms experts confirm that the trigger must actually be pulled or depressed enough to release the bullet from the model of firearm used in the accident, directly contradicting the star’s testimony.

The death of Halyna Hutchins certainly highlights the importance of strict safety measures in the entertainment industry.

Alec Baldwin charged with involuntary manslaughter!

More than a year after the tragic accident that claimed the life of DP Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust on October 21, 2021, the prosecutor in charge of the case in the state of New Mexico has made his decision and accuses the actor Alec Baldwin of involuntary manslaughter.

The incident occurred while the actor was rehearsing a scene with a gun during the filming of Rust on the site of Bonanza Creek Ranch located in New Mexico.

Since the incident, Baldwin claimed that he was not responsible for the director’s death. Instead, he accused Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the person in charge of the weapons and ammunition on the set at the time, of being solely responsible for the tragedy.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is also accused of manslaughter in the same case. David Halls, Rust’s assistant director, has decided to plead guilty to negligent use of a deadly weapon.

Recall that in October, Halyna Hutchins’ husband reached a settlement in his wrongful death lawsuit against Baldwin and the Rust producers. At the same time, Baldwin announced the resumption of filming of Rust for January 2023.

For the time being, Alec Baldwin remains free pending trial.

Alec Baldwin about to be charged?

According to documents obtained by the NY Post, Alec Bladwin could be charged in connection with the incident on the set of Rust, when he accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

The Sante Fe County District Attorney has moved to charge four people in connection with this tragic incident.

The only known person on that list of four obviously remains the 64-year-old actor, who has been living in arduous times since 2021.
