Google Pixel Watch drops to $379 ahead of Black Friday

Google isn’t slowing down its push of the Pixel portfolio, and now the new Pixel Watch (Wi-Fi-only) is down to $379.

This price makes the device a little more competitive with other devices like entry-level Apple Watches and Samsung Galaxy Watches. That said, it’s worth noting that the Galaxy Watch and most FitBits are also experiencing sales and price drops as Black Friday approaches.

Vidéotron Black Friday deals include discounts on phones, TV and more

Quebecor-owned Vidéotron dropped its Black Friday deals with discounts on phones, home internet, and more.

Phones

Vidéotronis also offers a $120 “annual discount for life” when customers bundle mobile and internet services.

Internet

Speaking of internet, Vidéotron highlights the following ‘deals,’ although they don’t appear to be significantly different from usual offerings:

  • Hybrid Fibre 30 – $45/mo (save $20) for 30Mbps download speed and unlimited data
  • Helix 30 – $50/mo, 30Mbps download and 10Mbps upload with unlimited data
  • Helix 400 – $70/mo, 400Mbps download with unlimited data

TV

Vidéotron highlights two TV deals on its Black Friday page, both of which are internet and TV bundles. First is ‘Club illico’ and ‘Vrai’ with Hybrid Fibre internet for $72/mo. Vidéotron says the bundle saves customers $35/mo, but Club illico and Vrai are only bundled for 12 months.

The other deal is $84/mo for ‘Helix TV + Internet,’ which once again includes Club illico and Vrai for 12 months.

PlayStation 5 DualSense controller $30 off in Canada for Black Friday 2022

The PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller will be up to $30 off at a variety of Canadian retailers for Black Friday 2022.

At GameStop, the standard $89.99 black and white DualSense controllers, as well as the $94.99 ‘Red,’ ‘Blue,’ ‘Pink,’ ‘Purple’ and ‘Grey Camo’ variants, will all cost $64.99 at GameStop starting November 17th.

At Walmart, the special coloured variants will be $30 off as well on November 17th.

Best Buy is also promising that the DualSense will go on sale on the 17th, although the specific savings weren’t quantified.

We’ll update this story should other retailers confirm that they’re offering the DualSense at this rare low price.

Besides being the controller for the ever-popular PS5, the DualSense is notable for having unique features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

Public Mobile refigures old offer for Black Friday deal

Public Mobile’s Black Friday offer is an old deal with new branding.

The company is offering 12GB of bonus data every month for the next year for Black Friday.

The deal only applies to new users who activate 4G plans valued at $40/month or higher. However, the fine print shows the 12GB data offer started on October 22nd.

Customers need code 12MONTHS12GB to activate the offer.

What does seem new, however, is Public Mobile’s discounts on all of its 4G plans:

  • 5GB FOR $40/month (was $44.50)
  • 8GB for $50/month (was $55)
  • 10GB for $55/month (was $60)
  • 15GB for $60/month (was $65)
  • 25GB for $80/month (was $85)
  • 40GB for $90/month (was $95)

Google discounts Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 6a by up to $300

If you’re looking for a new phone this holiday season, it’s hard to turn away from this Pixel discount Google is offering.

The Pixel 7  has been knocked down to $649, which is $150 off its starting price, and the Pixel 7 Pro is $300 less than it was before, making it $879. The Pixel 6a, which released during the summer of 2022, is down to $499.

While this is the cleanest deal, many Canadian carriers appear to have reduced the cost of the phone and leading up to Black Friday, Best Buy is offering gift cards to temp people towards Pixel devices.
