Jennifer Lawrence’s essay inspired by Hunger Games

Jennifer Lawrence’s essay on inequality was inspired by her ‘Hunger Games’ character.

The 25-year-old actress – who penned a piece called ‘Why Do I Make Less Than My Male Co-Stars?’ detailing how she and Amy Adams were paid less than the male ‘American Hustle’ cast members – admitted portraying Katniss Everdeen gave her the strength to speak out on such a contentious issue.

She said: ”I don’t see how I couldn’t be inspired by this character, I mean I was so inspired by her when I read the books, it’s the reason I wanted to play her.

”So I think it would be impossible to go four years with this character and not be inspired by her.”

Jennifer has adored playing Katniss but admits she found her alter ego’s slow transformation to a revolutionary difficult to portray because she wanted her to always be a ”warrior”.

Speaking at a press conference for ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’, she said: ”I wanted her to be a warrior right away, I wanted her to want to be a leader.

”I had to keep my own personal emotions about her situation out of my performance.”

In her essay, Jennifer wrote about the pay gap between herself and ”people with d***s”.

She wrote: ”When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with d***s, I didn’t get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself. I failed as a negotiator because I gave up early.

”I didn’t want to keep fighting over millions of dollars that, frankly, due to two franchises, I don’t need.”

Bradley Cooper ‘smitten’ with Irina

Bradley Cooper is ”smitten” with Irina Shayk.

The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor has been spotted several times with the model in recent weeks and though they haven’t officially confirmed they are a couple in public, in private they’re getting serious.

A source told the new issue of Grazia magazine: ”Bradley’s smitten and has been for a few weeks.

”He adores Irina and was raving about her to friends Sienna Miller and Madonna at the Met Gala.

”They were careful not to go on the red carpet together but, while they arrived and left separately, they were officially one another’s date.”

The couple were introduced by mutual friend Leonardo DiCaprio shortly after Bradley split from British model Suki Waterhouse.

The source said: ”Bradley was very taken with Irina when he first saw her at the Oscars in February. He and Suki were on the rocks and, once they’d split, Leonardo introduced him to Irina.”

News of Bradley’s relationship came as a shock to Suki, who had enjoyed a brief reunion with the ‘American Sniper’ star after they split in March due to their age gap and the pressures of work.

The source said: ”Suki was disappointed by how quickly their reunion fizzled out but it was inevitable, because the same problems were still there.

”She was, however, a little surprised at how quickly Bradley has moved on with Irina.”

Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse are reported got back together at the Coachella festival over the weekend.

The couple, who dated for two years before splitting in March, were spotted kissing on Friday night (04.10.15) at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, with an eyewitness telling the New York Post newspaper the 40-year-old actor and Suki, 23, were ”making out at Coachella backstage during Interpol’s set”.

What’s more, the famous duo were seen looking cozy together while waiting in the queue for food, and they are also reported to have had dinner together in Los Angeles before heading to the iconic event.

It was recently claimed that Bradley decided to end their two-year relationship because Suki shunned the chance to spend Valentine’s Day (02.14.15) with him.

The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actor was upset at Suki’s decision to fly to Austin, Texas, with friends rather celebrating the romantic holiday with him in New York City.

It was also reported that Suki ”wasn’t supportive of his acting career” while he was starring in the ‘Elephant Man’ on Broadway in New York from November until February 21.

Bradley was also said to be concerned by the 17-year age gap between the pair.

Jennifer Lawrence mocked Bradley Cooper during sex scenes

Jennifer Lawrence ”pointed and laughed” during her sex scenes with Bradley Cooper.

The 24-year-old actress shares a close bond with the 40-year-old actor after working with him on ‘American Hustle’ and ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ but their friendship didn’t make their intimate scenes in ‘Serena’ any less awkward.

Asked if their friendship makes sex scenes more comfortable, Jennifer said: ”No.

”I guess it’s more comfortable than not knowing the other person? I don’t know. They’re just awkward.”

Bradley added: ”You never know how it’s going to be. But for us, we laughed most of the time.”

Jennifer quipped: ”I pointed and laughed.”

Awkward sex scenes aside, the pair had a great time working on the movie.

Bradley told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: ”We had a lot of fun. We got to shoot in Prague and ride horses.”

Jennifer added: ”We had a blast. We always have a blast working together, obviously.”

The ‘Hangover’ actor – who recently split from model Suki Waterhouse – loves working with Jennifer because he can always learn from her, and the ‘Hunger Games’ star says the feeling is mutual.

He said: ”I respect her so much as a professional, as an actor, and I think she’s the best there is.

”I just learn from her. You always want to work with people who are better than you.”

She added to Us Weekly magazine: ”And I feel the same way about him.”

Chris Martin spends Valentine’s Day with Gwyneth Paltrow

Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow spent Valentine’s Day together on Saturday (02.14.15).

The former couple, who split last March after 10 years of marriage, were spotted spending time with their children, Apple, 10, and Moses, eight, at the beach in Malibu, California.

A source said that the Coldplay frontman, 37, who is now dating Jennifer Lawrence, 24, and his estranged wife, 42, spent approximately two hours together.

But the insider told E! News that their reunion ”was nothing romantic for what it seemed, just surf lessons for the kids.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer spent the day in Boston, where she is preparing to start filming her upcoming movie, ‘Joy,’ alongside Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro.

The couple were thought to have split in October, but a source previously insisted they only told people they had split so they could enjoy a relationship out of the spotlight.

The insider said: ”Neither of them wanted to be a public couple so quickly.

”So they told people they were broken up while they continued to build a relationship.”

Gwyneth, who is dating ‘Glee’ co-creator Brad Falchuk, 43, recently admitted she and Chris began making plans to separate in 2012 and ”worked really f**king hard to get to [this] point.”

She added: ”But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”

Bradley Cooper is moving in with Suki Waterhouse.

The ‘American Sniper’ star is reportedly trying to find a London-based pad for himself and the 23-year-old beauty so the pair can live together while he stays in the English capital for his 12-week stint in the West End show ‘The Elephant Man’ in May.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ”It has always been Bradley’s dream to perform on the West End, but it means he also gets to live with Suki too.”

The 40-year-old actor is said to be ”smitten” with Suki and in the relationship for the long-haul after she received the ”stamp of approval” from his mother, Gloria.

A source said: ”Bradley is totally smitten. His family all love her too and most importantly she has the stamp of approval from his mother, Gloria.”

The couple – who began dating in February 2013 – were first rumoured to be looking for their own love nest last year but it was thought the duo were house-hunting in the Los Angeles area so Bradley could stay close to his mother following his father’s death in 2010.

Suki is equally excited to move in with the hunky actor and has previously admitted she is ready to ”have a home” and settle down.

She said: ”I don’t really live anywhere. We’re travelling gypsies – it’s wherever we’re working. But I’m desperate to have a home.”

Bradley has also made it known he is keen to have children in the future and described starting a family as the ”next big step” in his life.

He said: ”I would love to be a father one day. I’m sorry my father won’t be around to see his grandchildren, but he knows fatherhood was something I was looking forward to. That’s my next big step in life.”

Jennifer Esposito marries Louis Dowler

Jennifer Esposito has married Louis Dowler.

The 41-year-old actress, who was married to Bradley Cooper for five months until they filed for divorce in May 2007, tied the knot with the British model in New York City on Sunday (16.11.14), where they run a gluten-free bakery called Jennifer’s Way.

According to a guest at the nuptials, who wrote about the wedding on his blog Gluten Dude, the couple’s food on their big day all came from their own shop.

He wrote: ”Great vibe. Great service. Phenomenal food. (sic)”

The ‘Blue Bloods’ actress announced she and Louis, 38, were engaged in May when she appeared on Katie Couric’s talk show to promote her book, ‘Jennifer’s Way’.

Jennifer praised Louis for being ”lovely” and Katie told the crowd: ”Oh, P.S., announcement – Jennifer just got engaged,” and a photograph of the couple appeared on the screen behind her.

Louis previously dated Kate Winslet but she left him for Richard Branson’s nephew Ned Rocknroll, who she is now married to.

Speaking in 2011 about being dumped by the 39-year-old actress, Louis said: ”I don’t think Kate behaved well and it is still very raw for me.

”I was in love with her and you can’t switch that off overnight. I’m not sure Kate treated me well.

”Kate came home with me to Cornwall and we just hung out together.

”She met my parents and family.”

Jennifer got engaged to former Australian tennis player Mark Philippoussis in 2009 but they later separated in August 2010.

Robert Downey Jr. is Hollywood’s highest paid actor

Robert Downey Jr. has been named Hollywood’s highest paid actor for the second year running.

The 49-year-old star – who earned an estimated $75 million for the year 2012 and 2013 – has topped Forbes’ annual ranking of the highest paid movie stars after making a fortune from his portrayal of Iron Man.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson came in second place with an earning of $52 million, which he accumulated from a number of acting roles as well as producing gigs.

Bradley Cooper, 39, followed behind with an estimated $46 million due to his much loved roles in ‘The Hangover’ and ‘American Hustle’, while Leonardo DiCaprio, 39, secured fourth place with $39 million.

Chris Hemsworth finished off the top five with an estimated earning of $37 million after beating Liam Neeson and Ben Affleck, who earned $36 million and $35 million respectively, to the place.

Will Smith and Mark Wahlberg fell to the bottom of the top 10 list with an estimated annual earning of $32 million, while Johnny Deep, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise all failed to secure a place on the chart.

Bradley Cooper parties at Glastonbury

Bradley Cooper and Michael Fassbender partied until 4am at Glastonbury festival.

The A-list actors stunned revelers with their hard partying on Saturday night (06.28.14) in scenes reminiscent of Bradley’s hit movie, ‘The Hangover’.

The Oscar-nominated stars partied into the early hours of Sunday morning (06.29.14) in the Shangri La area of Worthy Farm at the music festival after watching a rocking performance by headliners Metallica.

An eyewitness told The Sun newspaper: ”The boys were out to enjoy themselves big time. After midnight on Saturday, they made their way to Shangri La and then on to The Rabbit Hole. Revellers couldn’t believe their eyes as they were dancing and stayed in for a couple of hours.

”They kept moving when people realized who they were but it was pretty late. Most people were too drunk to care and didn’t hassle them too much.”

Earlier in the evening, Bradley, 39, was seen among the 100,000-plus crowd enjoying performances by Metallica, Jack White and Lana Del Rey.

The ‘American Hustle’ star arrived at Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England on Friday (06.27.14) with his pal, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich.

Bradley’s girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, 22, wasn’t by his side at this year’s festival.

She wrote on Instagram last week: ”#GLASTONBURY reminiscing. So sad I’m not going this year.. rave on beautiful ravers!!!!!! (sic)”
