Where to stream Chris Evans and Ana de Armas’ Ghosted in Canada

After working together on Knives Out and The Gray Man, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas have reunited for a new romantic action-comedy, Ghosted.

Directed by Dexter Fletcher (Rocketman), the film sees Cole (Evans) fall head-over-heels for Sadie (de Armas), only to discover she’s a secret agent, leading them on an international mission. It’s also worth noting that Ghosted was written by Rhett Reese and Toronto’s Paul Wernick (Deadpool series) and Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers (Spider-Man: No Way Home).

Given all of the big names attached, you might be wondering where you can watch the film. Fortunately, it’s pretty simple — Ghosted will begin streaming exclusively on Apple TV+ on April 21st. An Apple TV+ membership costs $8.99/month and is also included in Apple One subscription bundles (starting at $18.95/month).

After almost a month with a new iPhone, Chris Evans says he still misses the 6s

Back in June, actor Chris Evans made headlines when he retired his iPhone 6s and finally upgraded to a new iPhone. At the time, Evans shared on social media that he’d miss the home button. Turns out he still does.

In a recent interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub about Evans’ new flick for Netflix, The Gray Man, Evans said he still misses the 6s and that he feel’s like his new phone is “too heavy.”

“I’m just saying, do I miss the home button? Yeah, I do.”

Evans even pulls out his new phone — which appears to be the iPhone 13 Pro based on the size and camera array — and shows how he uses his pinky to support it from the bottom.

“Because as I hold it, you use the pinky to brace it, and it feels too heavy. It’s too heavy,” Evans says.

Honestly, it’s no surprise Evans finds the new iPhone heavy. Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro weighs in at 204g (the Pro Max is even heavier at 240g), while the old 6s clocked in at 143g. Moreover, the iPhone 6s was slightly thinner at 7.1mm compared to the 13 Pro’s 7.65mm. Coupled with the smaller size and rounded edges, the iPhone 6s probably fits into the average hand better than the 13 Pro.

Evans also briefly acknowledges that he got several comments recommending he switch to the iPhone SE instead.

“No, I don’t want [the SE], I want the iPhone 6! I want something from before to work until it doesn’t work anymore,” Evans said.

While I agree with the sentiment about wanting things to work, it’s worth pointing out Apple’s current iPhone SE is almost the exact same size as the old iPhone 6s (give or take a few millimetres) and still has a home button. Sure, the camera isn’t as good as what’s in the iPhone 13 Pro, but if Evans wants the 6s, the iPhone SE is just an updated version of that phone.

Chris Evans retires his iPhone 6s, says he’ll miss the Home Button

After many, many years, actor Chris Evans is retiring his iPhone 6s. The notable actor, who portrayed Marvel’s Captain America, the WW2 soldier out of time, is saying goodbye to his seven-year-old phone.

On Instagram, Evans wrote that he and his faithful iPhone 6s “had a good run.” Evans continued to reminisce about his time spent with the phone over the years. Part of the transition process from the old iPhone 6s to the new iPhone 13 was giving up the Home Button.

As the humorous, yet slightly poetic post continues, Evans says he won’t miss the struggles of maintaining the phone’s battery life or taking “grainy pictures” on the 12-megapixel camera of the iPhone 6s. “It was a wild ride,” Evans concludes.

Evans, whose latest film was Pixar’s Lightyear, received a resounding number of supportive comments about his iPhone 6s. Celebrities and friends came to congratulate the actor for stepping into 2022 with both feet. The Hidden Figures alum Octavia Spencer wrote: “OMG! I just gave up my home button last week. Transitioning to the 13 has been easier than I thought. So…. #IFeelYouBuddy.” Kate Beckinsale, Bryan Greenberg, and Yvette Nicole Brown also all chimed in as well.

Some fans also jumped in to speak their mind. One user wrote “We about to get selfies in 4K… I’m gonna start panicking.”

Evans’ determined use of the iPhone 6s became a bit of an internet meme over the years. He’s been spotted on set and in public, championing the use of the iPhone 6s. All good things must come to an end, however.

Netflix drops first trailer for Russo brothers’ The Gray Man, starring Canada’s Ryan Gosling

Netflix has released the first trailer for The Gray Man, its highly anticipated action movie from Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame directors, The Russo Brothers.

In the film, a top CIA mercenary, Sierra Six (London, Ontario’s own Ryan Gosling) discovers dark agency secrets, making him the target of international assassins, including his unhinged former colleague, Lloyd Hansen (Captain America himself, Chris Evans).

The Gray Man is notable for a number of reasons.

To start, it’s said to be Netflix’s most expensive film to date, thanks to a budget of around $200 million USD (about $257 million CAD). Further, the film re-teams The Russo Brothers with Captain America star Evans, as well as screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Joe Russo penned the script for The Gray Man — based on Mark Greaney’s eponymous novel series — alongside Markus and McFeely, who previously wrote The Russo Brothers’ four Marvel films: Captain America: The Winter SoldierCaptain America: Civil WarInfinity War and Endgame.

The Russos have specifically said that The Gray Man is meant to be a political action thriller in the vein of The Winter Soldier, which is regarded as one of the best Marvel films.

Beyond Gosling and Evans, The Gray Man features an all-star cast that includes Ana De Armas (Knives Out), Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), Jessica Henwick (The Matrix: Resurrections), Billy Bob Thornton (Fargo) and Tamil acting icon Dhanush (Vadachennai).

The Gray Man will begin streaming on Netflix on July 22nd.

Jenny Slate praises mystery boyfriend

Jenny Slate has praised her mysterious "dreamy boyfriend" for supporting her online shopping addiction.

The 35-year-old actress is believed to have rekindled her romance with former partner and Hollywood hunk Chris Evans – whom she previously dated for almost a year until their split in February this year – and although she has yet to confirm the rumours, she did take to Twitter to praise her mystery man.

She wrote: "My boyfriend does many dreamy&generous things but number 1 in my mind right now is how he celebrates my new turtlenecks/let’s me show him my online shopping spoils & cheers me on

"Number one in my mind just changed to shame re: "lets" vs "let’s" …wait wait no "turtleneck support in my partnership" joy is back. It’s T-necks again. (sic)"

The tweet comes after Jenny and 36-year-old Chris – who met whilst on the set of ‘Gifted’ – took to their social media accounts last month to share a series of flirty tweets with one another.

Chris wrote: "The theme song to Mash stresses me out. The Pavlovian response is that it’s time to go to bed and I probably haven’t done my homework," and Jenny replied: "Probably haven’t"???? Cmon, Christopher. Have you done your homework or haven’t you? It’s 7pm and you’ve had the whoooole weekend. Cmon."

Chris then sent a flirty tweet back, asking Jenny to "cut class" with him.

He wrote: "How’s your handwriting? Can you write me a note? Let’s cut class!" and Jenny replied: "This is terrifying and exhilarating. Meet me behind the gym after science. I have shark bites."

Prior to their flirty exchange, the pair had been spotted together in Atlanta on a double date with Robert Downey Jr and his wife Susan.

Jenny and Chris’ relationship came to an end earlier this year due to conflicting schedules, however, they have remained close and often gush about each other in interviews.

‘Captain America’ star Chris said in March: "She’s my favourite human. She’s the best. I’ve never ever ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does.

"She’ll give you one sentence and there’s no fat to it. You’re like, ‘You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.’

"It’s like an art form talking with her, because the visuals associated with her expression are just so colourful.

She’s so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself, she’s incredibly compassionate, there’s just nothing to not love about her."

And Jenny gave Chris similar praise, as in April she called him a "delight".

She said: "He’s just an absolutely, really giving performer and a wonderful actor.

"It’s a delight, a total delight."

Chris Evans and Jenny Slate’s flirty Twitter exchange

Chris Evans and Jenny Slate have been exchanging flirty messages on Twitter.

The former couple – who split up in February – were recently spotted together in Atlanta on a double date with Robert Downey Jr and his wife Susan and they have now delighted fans with a sweet Twitter exchange.

Cmon."

He wrote: "How’s your handwriting? Can you write me a note? Let’s cut class!" and Jenny replied: "This is terrifying and exhilarating. Meet me behind the gym after science. I have shark bites."

‘Gifted’ co-stars Jenny, 35 and Chris, 36, dated for almost a year after Jenny split up from her husband but they called time on their relationship in February due to conflicting schedules.

However, they have remained close and often gush about each other in interviews.

Chris dubbed Jenny his "favorite human" in an interview March, just one month after the couple called it quits.

He said at the time: "She’s my favorite human. She’s the best. I’ve never ever ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does.

"She’ll give you one sentence and there’s no fat to it. You’re like, ‘You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.’

Billie Piper believes marriage would have lasted if husband wasn’t famous

Billie Piper believes she would still be married if her husband wasn’t famous.

The 34-year-old actress divorced her first husband Chris Evans in 2007, three years after they separated, and ended her second marriage to Laurence Fox in 2016, eight years after they tied the knot, but Billie thinks if she had wed her first love – a Swindon scaffolder – they would not have divorced.

She told Stylist magazine: "My first love. Yeah, I often think about what would’ve happened if we were still together and I think we would probably have had a 30-year relationship."

Billie – who has two sons with Laurence – also revealed she sees herself being "looser" at 90 and living her life without any apologies.

She explained: "Mine is on a beach in Mexico, in a kaftan, with rum and roll-ups. Getting old, but not feeling the cold from England, feeling like now it’s my time. I love my kids, I raised you all, I’ve poured everything into you and now I just want to go and waft around. Just being looser than I was in my 20s and in my teens without any apologies because I’m approaching my death."

She added: "It feels like you have to be fully established by your 30s. But now the world’s not interested, because you’re not 20 anymore."

Billie also admitted that she thinks feminism can be "a bit man-hating and sort of oversexualised".

She said: "I just think some of this new-age female emancipation can often land us in that place in our 30s where we feel, ‘I’m supposed to have this, this and this… I’m supposed to be successful and business-savvy and coquettish and making cash and a slag in the bedroom and well-read and I’m supposed to be on top of all of these things, because it’s my time. People have made it my time. Women have made it my time’.

"I just feel f**ked by this amount of pressure! It feels like it is unnatural to be able to do all of those things. I think it’s shaky in its brand, do you know what I mean? When I’m around women of my [24-year-old] sister’s generation, I think there’s this really misguided view of what [feminism] actually is. It’s a bit man-hating and sort of oversexualised. I think young girls misread what feminism is."

Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson become new Academy members

Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson are among the 774 new members announced for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

In what has become the largest-ever class of new members, in a bid to diversify the overwhelmingly white and male institution, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the names of the nearly 800 new industry professionals from 57 countries it has invited to join the nearly 90 year old organization.

Film producer Mel Eslyn is among the new members, she told the Los Angeles Times: "I view the Academy invitation as a giant warm hug from my peers. Being part of the academy, to me, means inclusion, especially when looking at the diversity that’s represented in this year’s class."

The Academy Awards Class of 2017 is a major increase on the 322 invitees of the previous year and ranges from 19-year-old Elle Fanning to 95-year-old Betty White, plus iconic names of the industry such as Kristen Stewart, Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, Jordan Peele and Barry Jenkins, who directed this year’s best picture-winning ‘Moonlight’ to name but a few.

It’s only the third year of the #OscarsSoWhite campaign that led the academy to take action to double the number of its female and minority members – with plans to increase it by 1,500 and 535 respectively by 2020.

Academy CEO Dawn Hudson said: "We really are committed to making this an organization for international artists. There are so many artists in the world who we had overlooked in the past. So, lucky us, we get to make an effort to invite them in."

She previously said she is confident that there are still many qualified film industry professionals who have yet to be brought into the organization.

She said: "There are so many artists who were not admitted in the past because we had a limit on how many new members we invited each year. So with the elimination of those [quotas] and the aggressive pursuit of excellence by all of our members, I think we will be able to expand in a more inclusive way for several years."

According to the Academy’s figures, the new class is 39 per cent female (298 women), which brings the representation of women in the organization from 27 per cent to 28 per cent. Thirty percent (232) are people of color, bringing minorities’ share of total academy membership from 11 percent to 13 per cent.

Other names on the list include actors John Cho, Shailene Woodley, Channing Tatum, Chris Evans and Priyanka Chopra and directors Guy Ritchie, Jocelyn Moorhouse and Alejandro Jodorowsky.

Bono and son rock out to Oasis together

U2 singer Bono has been introducing his eldest son to Oasis’ music.

The 56-year-old rocker has took it upon himself to give his kids – two daughters, Jordan, 27, and Eve, 25, and two sons, Elijah, 17, and John, 15, his children with his wife Ali Hewson – a musical history lesson.

Bono is great friends with former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher and he has been playing Elijah the Manchester group’s most famous tracks and introducing him to other classic 90s indie rock.

He shared: "I mean he listens to … I mean Elijah’s been, I’ve just been going through the 90s with him. Noel Gallagher, Stone Roses, Oasis, all that. He’s rediscovering that and I’m rediscovering it with him. On vinyl."

And the ‘With or Without You’ hitmaker – whose real name is Paul Hewson – also credited his four children for helping him through "house parties", as he admits they’re better at planning the events than he is.

Asked where he keeps his record player and what he uses it for, Bono said: "It’s in our kitchen. So is Edge’s. At home we do have house parties, though some of the better ones are now done by my sons and daughters. But we’ve been playing all kinds of things. "Yesterday we listened to the new Eagles album. I’m not talking about the Californian band, but I think they’re from Leeds, maybe. I think they’re from the UK, which was really great."

Bono is currently gearing up to head out on tour in support of the 30th anniversary of U2’s seminal album ‘The Joshua Tree’ – a tour on which the Irish stadium legends will be supported by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

The singer has apologized to fans who will have to travel far and wide in order to make one of the exclusive shows, but has promised the concert will be "special".

Speaking on UK station BBC Radio 2 on Chris Evans’ ‘Breakfast Show’, the ‘Beautiful Day’ songwriter said: "Originally we were just going to do a few shows, and I apologies to people in Scotland and Wales who have to come down to Twickenham (in London), or indeed in Dublin we could only do one show.

"We were only supposed to do three or four or five, we’re doing I think nearly 40 now across America and Europe. But as I say we don’t do birthdays, we’re more weddings and bar mitzvahs actually, but this seemed to be something to do. And yeah, we’ll see what happens, but it’s a special album of songs for sure."

Chris Evans ‘endlessly grateful’ for Jenny Slate

Chris Evans is "endlessly grateful" for having met his ex-girlfriend Jenny Slate.

The 35-year-old actor recently split from his ‘Gifted’ co-star, but has said she will "always" be a part of his life and has nothing but kind words to say about her as he "cannot find something bad" about her.

He said: "You find that you cannot help to have respect for her. You spend five minutes with her and you cannot find something bad to say about her if you tried.

"You know, relationships are tricky, there are lot of moving pieces. But I am endlessly grateful for having met her. She will be in my life always."

And the ‘Captain America’ star also dubbed Jenny, also 35, as "an incredible human being", as he praised her acting skills.

He added to USA Today: "We were both rooting for this. She’s an incredible human being, a very, very special person. We’re all lucky she’s so driven, she’s going to make some amazing art in her life."

It’s not the first time Chris has praised the ‘Zootopia’ actress either, as he previously branded her as his "favourite" person.

He said: "She’s my favourite human.

Despite their split, the feeling of admiration seems to be mutual between the pair as Jenny previously described Chris as "lovely" in the wake of their break up.

She said: "I don’t mind talking about him at all. He’s a lovely person. I don’t know. It feels like such a huge thing. Last year was a giant, big year for my heart. I’ve never, ever thought to keep anything private because that’s not really what I’m like, and now I’m learning those things, and they’re weird, kind of demented lessons to learn."
