Ed Sheeran’s all night dance parties

Ed Sheeran danced to his own songs "all night" in Ghana.

The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker flew out to join pal Fuse ODG in the West African country so they could make some music together and revealed after each track was complete, the rapper threw a house party for 200 people where they danced into the early hours in the morning to the song they had just recorded.

Ed revealed: "I went out to Ghana and there was a musician called Fuse ODG who was a friend of mine. He was always telling me, ‘You have to come to Ghana. You have to see the culture here. You’ve got to do some music here.’

"So I went over there and we did about five or six songs together and every time we’d make a song, he’d then ring up 200 people and then we’d throw a house party for the song and dance to it all night. It was the most crazy but fun experience."

And Ed’s new-found friends were not the only people to get a sneak preview of the songs as the 26-year-old singer also revealed he played the track to Tom Hiddleston whilst they were in Rome.

Speaking on the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Chris Evans, he added: "I played Tom the album last summer and he still remembers. We were in Rome. 70 per cent of the album was done a year ago … I was having too much fun [to put it out back then]."

Meanwhile, Ed previously revealed he invited the ‘Game of Thrones’ cast back to his mansion in Suffolk in East Anglia, England to hear his new music.

He said: "I ended up going to a party where a lot of the ‘Game Of Thrones’ lot were at. They all ended up back at my house. I’d never met some of them before and said ‘do you want to hear some of my songs?’"

Matt LeBlanc to retire in his 50s

Matt LeBlanc plans on retiring in his 50s.

The ‘Friends’ legend turns 50 on July 25 and is starting to "take stock" of his life and wants to achieve everything he had ever planned to in his professional life in the near future.

The dark-haired hunk has reportedly decided to call time on his career in acting and television so he can have a more "personal life" and spend more time with his 13-year-old daughter Marina, whom he has with his former model ex-wife Melissa McKnight.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Matt said on set of his motoring show ‘Top Gear’: "I want to retire in my early fifties.

"I want everything set up. Otherwise you look and go ’50! Whooo, where did that go?’

"I’m beginning to take stock. I want retirement accomplished."

The ‘Episodes’ star previously spoke of how much he enjoys hanging out with his daughter and cherishes the time because he knows she won’t always want to be with him.

He said: "I love it when I’m with my daughter. We make bacon and eggs and sit and talk over how she slept, what she dreamed about, what we should do that day.

"I’m clinging on to those moments because I’m not Rihanna so she won’t want to hang out for much longer.

"Is she a Rihanna fan? Oh my God, I know every word to every song. Please don’t stop the music …"

Matt previously said Marina refuses to watch ‘Friends’ because he was in it.

The 49-year-old actor shot to fame playing Joey Tribbiani in the sitcom, and though the teenager’s friends have been watching reruns of the series, she has no interest in tuning in because she doesn’t want to "overdose" on seeing her dad.

He said: "I don’t think she thinks I’m too cool.

"I think her friends at school are watching ‘Friends’ now, that’s about the age they get into it, but she, she can’t be bothered. She just couldn’t care less.

She’s seen it, but it’s her dad.

"She sees me enough…she’s like, ‘Overdose on my dad, I don’t want that.’"

Meryl Streep refuses to wear Chanel dress to Oscars

Meryl Streep allegedly turned down the chance to wear a Chanel dress to this year’s Oscars because the brand refused to pay her.

Karl Lagerfeld – who is the head designer and creative director of the lavish fashion house – had been working hard to create a beautiful embroidered silk gown from his recent collection for the 67-year-old actress to wear to the glamorous ceremony, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, on Sunday (26.02.17) night when she reportedly decided to pull out of the agreement over cash.

Speaking to WWD.com, Lagerfeld said: "I made a sketch, and we started to make the dress (but then I get a phone call from her team a few days later which said): ‘Don’t continue the dress. We found somebody who will pay us.’ After we gift her a dress that’s 100,000 euros, we found later we had to pay [for her to wear it]. We give them dresses, we make the dresses, but we don’t pay."

Meryl is no doubt determined to look her best at the Academy Awards as she’s nominated for her 20th golden statue this year for her role in ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ but she will need to fight off stiff competition from Natalie Portman and Emma Stone if she wants to bag Best Actress and be in with the chance of reeling off her acceptance speech in front of the world.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Hailee Steinfeld are among the celebrities who will present the gongs to the winners.

‘La La Land’ leads the nominations with 14 nods – equalling the record set by 1997 movie ‘Titanic’ – in categories including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Production Design.

The musical’s leading man, Ryan Gosling, is in the running for Best Actor but faces competition from ‘Manchester By The Sea’ star Casey Affleck, ‘Hacksaw Ridge’s Andrew Garfield, ‘Captain Fantastic’s Viggo Mortensen and ‘Fences’ actor Denzel Washington.

More Oscars presenters announced

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will present at the Academy Awards.

The ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ stars are among a host of A-listers who have been announced as giving out prizes at the Oscars later this month, with Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Hailee Steinfeld also unveiled by the Academy on Tuesday (07.02.17).

And Kate McKinnon, Gael Garcia Bernal, Samuel L. Jackson and Shirley MacLaine will also hand out statuettes at the Dolby Theare in Los Angeles on February 29.

The new names will join the previously-announced Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larsson, Mark Rylance and Alicia Vikander – who all won the big acting honours at 2016’s ceremony – on the presenters list.

In keeping with tradition, Leonardo will hand out the Best Actress gong, while last year’s recipient, ‘Room’ star Brie, will give out the Best Actor trophy.

At the ceremony, ‘La La Land’ leads the nominations with 14 nods – equalling the record set by 1997 movie ‘Titanic’ – in categories including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Production Design.

And in the Best Actress category, ‘La La Land’ has another nomination for Emma Stone, who will face off against ‘Elle’ star Isabelle Huppert, ‘Loving’s Ruth Negga, ‘Jackie’s Natalie Portman, and ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ actress Meryl Streep.

Jimmy Kimmel is this year’s Oscars host.

Captain America Civil War leads People’s Choice Awards

‘Captain America: Civil War’ has lead the way with seven nominations at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards.

The Marvel blockbuster is in with the chance of nabbing a collection of gongs at the annual event, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at the beginning of January, after it secured a nod in the Favorite Movie category against ‘Deadpool’, ‘Finding Dory’, ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Zootopia’.

The film – which was directed by brothers Joe and Anthony Russo – could also walk away with the prize for the Favorite Action Movie, but will have to fight off competition from ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘Deadpool’, ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ and X-Men: ‘Apocalypse’.

And with a helping hand from one of the movie’s main stars, Robert Downey Jr. – who portrays Iron Man again – ‘Captain America: Civil War’ could also walk away with the Favorite Movie Actor title, providing he manages to fight off Kevin Hart, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Hanks and Will Smith.

The 51-year-old actor could also walk away with the prestigious prize for the Favorite Action Movie Actor but has been pitted up against his co-star Chris Evans – who plays Captain America – ‘Deadpool’s Reynolds, Suicide Squad’s Smith, and ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’s Liam Hemsworth.

And the film’s leading lady Scarlett Johansson – who plays Black Widow – has also secured two nominations in the Favorite Movie Actress and Favorite Action Movie Actress category.

However, if she’s in with the chance of claiming either title, the 31-year-old beauty will need to outdo Margot Robbie and Jennifer Lawrence, who have also secured nominations for both prizes.

Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Kevin Hart, Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron may be known for their more serious roles, but all of them are up for Favorite Comedic Movie Actor.

Anna Kendrick, Kristen Bell, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Rebel Wilson are also up for the same gong in the female equivalent category for their laugh-out-loud antics on the big screen.

On the music front, Blake Shelton, Drake, Justin Timberlake, Shawn Mendes and The Weeknd are in with the chance of claiming Favorite Male Artist, while Adele, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Britney Spears and Rihanna could walk away with the trophy for Favorite Female Artist.

And the ‘Hello’ hitmaker and ‘Side to Side’ singer have also managed to climb into the Favorite Pop Artist category against Britney Spears, Timberlake and Australian artist Sia.

Kanye West – who has been busy touring for the last year – is up against his close friend Wiz Khalifa in the Favorite Hip-Hop Artist, while DJ Khaled, G-Eazy, and Kendrick Lamar have also made the cut.

Evan Rachel Woods was naked when she met Chris Evans on Gucci Guilty shoot

Evan Rachel Woods and Chris Evans were both naked when they first met ahead of shooting their Gucci Guilty campaign.

The 29-year-old actress – who was previously married to British actor Jamie Bell – came face-to-face with Captain America when they were both in their birthday suits on the set for the fragrance advertising campaign shoot.

However, Evan insists being in the buff in front of the 35-year-old Hollywood hunk wasn’t as embarrassing as she thought it would be.

Speaking to People about the campaign, she shared: "We were both naked and we had just met. It was like, ‘OK, so, you’re going to be wearing Chris Evans at this photo shoot.’ And, um, that was my wardrobe.

"He was so respectful and cool and it made it all so much easier. All we did was listen to Motown and laugh a lot. That was the vibe on set, we were both humbled by the experience."

The ‘Into The Forest’ star also revealed that all credit for the sensual shots needs to go to the creative team who were able to make the pair look as though they were in the throes of passion, even though the poses were very clinical.

She said: "In those shots it looks like we’re in the throes and rolling around on a sexy beach or something. But we were being very strategically positioned and quite awkwardly so, having to hold these poses. I think I remember being pretty sore at the end of the day actually. So it looked natural, but it can be silly and fun doing it."

Evan and Chris got on really well on the shoot and she felt privileged to have got to work with him.

She said: "He’s a really great guy so I was very fortunate to be paired up with him because it made the whole experience that much better and I love Gucci, they are so good to me. I still wear the fragrance, but I wear the men’s."

Chris Evans embarrassed by election result

Chris Evans is "embarrassed" by the US presidential election result.

The ‘Captain America’ actor has slammed Donald Trump – and branded him a "bully" and a "hatemonger" and admitted he is "devastated" the former ‘Apprentice’ star triumphed over rival Hillary Clinton.

Chris – who had earlier revealed he had cast his vote for the Democratic candidate – tweeted: "This is an embarrassing night for America. We’ve let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We’ve let a bully set our course. I’m devastated."

Ariel Winter was also "devastated" by the result.

The shocked star wrote on Twitter: "America, you have failed. What the actual f**k. Devastating. I won’t recognize @realDonaldTrump as our president, ever. #dumptrucktrump (sic)"

‘Family Guy’ creator Seth MacFarlane thinks the result will leave many US citizens "genuinely fearful".

He posted: "Some didn’t like Bush. Some didn’t like Obama. But this is different. Forget dislike. Many are genuinely fearful now. This is new. (sic)"

‘The Help’ star Octavia Spencer believes the result will give people perspective on "how good" things were under departing president Barack Obama.

She tweeted: "Gonna miss Obama. maybe this country needs a Trump presidency to see just how good we had it and took it for granted!!!!! #GodBlessTheUSA (sic)"

But not all stars were disappointed in the result.

Stephen Baldwin was "proud" to have openly campaigned for the businessman.

As the votes were counted, he tweeted: "God is moving …..

& America is speaking !! PTL @realdonaldtrump @KellyannePolls #MakeAmericaGreatAgain #GodBlessAmerica (sic)"

He later added: "Soon the REAL work begins … to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain ! Proud to have been a part of such amazing history !!

"God bless America !! & our 45th President of the USA & the new first family …(sic)"

Musician Kid Rock endorsed the new president during the election campaign, and though he hasn’t directly spoken about the result, he did share with his Twitter followers a YouTube video called ‘Donald Trump – American Bad Ass’.

Jamie Oliver will convert his London home into two houses in a bid to sell

Jamie Oliver has been forced to convert his £10 million mansion into two houses after it failed to sell.

The 41-year-old celebrity chef bought two adjoining houses in London’s Primrose Hill for £7.5 million in the 2000s, which he converted into a single 10 bedroom abode with three kitchens and six bathrooms, but after moving out he has been unable to find a buyer willing to pay £12 million for his home and has been advised to return the property to its original form and divide the building back into two in a bid to sell the property, according to the Mail Online.

The ‘Naked Chef’ star and his former model wife Jools – who have children Poppy, 13, Daisy, 12, Petal, six, Buddy, five, and a newborn baby boy whose name has not yet been revealed – are now set to fork out more money to undo all of their hard work on the various extensions to enable them to get the property off of their hands.

Jamie has reportedly sent Camden Council plans to re-fit a guest en suite bathroom, and transform one bedroom into a communal bathroom.

It is also believed the culinary mastermind will remove arched openings to the kitchen, knock down the partition walls to create a kitchenette, and create a play room, a wine cellar, a boudoir and multiple storage areas.

And it is believed the couple – who married in 2000 – were planning to relocate when their home, which neighbours ‘Top Gear’ presenter Chris Evans and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge David Walliams, was targeted by burglars in October last year.

The duo discovered thieves had broken into their house whilst they were staying at their country manor house in Essex, which Jamie bought in 2015 for £8.95 million and is currently receiving a make-over, and stole electrical appliances.

Matt LeBlanc ‘besotted’ with new girlfriend

Matt LeBlanc is reportedly dating a woman 17 years his junior.

The former ‘Friends’ star is said to be "besotted" with Aurora Mulligan, who works as an assistant producer on TV show ‘Top Gear’, which Matt co-hosts.

The pair went public with their romance on Saturday (06.25.16) as they enjoyed a date at a horse racing event in West Sussex, South England, and fellow racegoers say they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

An onlooker told The Sun newspaper: "Matt and Aurora were inseparable throughout the whole day. They were very tactile and Matt seemed to be very taken by Aurora as he laughed chatted intimately with her. Aurora just kept laughing at all his jokes and is clearly besotted with the American superstar.

"You wouldn’t have known that they were work colleagues at all – it’s definitely more than just a professional relationship."

Matt and Aurora were first linked with each other earlier this year, but his spokesman insisted it was a "strictly a work relationship".

However, a ‘Top Gear’ source has reportedly confirmed that their friendship has now blossomed into something more serious.

The show insider revealed: "This has become a romance. Matt spends more time with Aurora than anyone else in the crew and there’s definitely a blossoming relationship there."

Matt – who co-hosts the BBC show alongside Chris Evans – was previously married to model Melissa McKnight and they have a 12-year-old daughter, Marina, together.

He also dated actress Andrea Anders for nine years, before splitting in October 2015.

Paul Rudd was excited to see Marvel heroes suited up

Paul Rudd loved taking "swings" at the stars of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ while they were wearing their superhero outfits.
The 47-year-old actor reprises his role as Ant-Man for the much-hyped Marvel comic book film and has revealed he relished the moment when the movie’s star-studded cast, which includes the likes Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, donned their outfits on the set.
Rudd told BANG Showbiz: "It is pretty awesome. It’s pretty incredible. I know if I ever go into a Planet Hollywood or any of those restaurants that have the shoes that Kevin Costner in ‘Tin Cup’ or whatever, I’m like, ‘Whoa those were in the movie.’ I still have that feeling, so then to step onto this set and see all of the suits was really cool.
"Then to see all the actors that wear the suits was even cooler, and then to see them put them on, and stand in front of them and get to take swings at them was the coolest. So it was a very exciting time."
Rudd has now watched ‘Civil War’ twice and has praised director Anthony Russo for the way he has handled the plot which sees Evans’ Captain America and his allies fight Iron Man (Downey) over whether The Avengers superhero squad should be under government control.
He added: "I have seen it twice now and I think Russo has knocked it out of the park. I think it is so nuanced and layered and the conflicts are understand both sides and points of view and it makes for a really engaging movie. Characters – it’s all about the characters, and every character has their moment."
The movie also stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Paul Bettany as Vision and the first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Spider-Man – portrayed by Tom Holland.
