Stars reach out to Kevin Smith following heart attack

Chris Pratt is "praying" for Kevin Smith after the director suffered a massive heart attack.

The 47-year-old filmmaker revealed on social media he had been hospitalised and almost "died" on Sunday (25.02.18) and though the ‘Jurassic World’ star doesn’t know the ‘Clerks’ helmsman "too good", he sent a kind message to reassure Kevin he was in his thoughts because he has always been a big inspiration to him.

Chris tweeted: "Kevin we don’t each other too good but I have loved you since Clerks and I’m praying my ass for you cause I believe in the healing power of prayer.

"Praying for you. I will continue to. You inspired me with Clerks when I was a senior HS. I’m tagging my Lb/rb football coach who showed me the movie cause he believed in me and knew I’d be inspired.(sic)"

The ‘Chasing Amy’ director’s friend, Tom Arnold, vowed to be there and support his pal however he needed it.

He posted: "Whatever you need buddy.

"@ThatKevinSmith Fans of Kevin Smith please take comfort he is in a good hospital with great doctors but if he needs 2nd or 3rd opinions from the worlds finest cardiologists we’ve got him covered too. (sic)"

Lily Rose Depp, who starred in Kevin’s film ‘Yoga Hosers’ alongside his daughter Harley Quinn Smith sent him a message via Instagram.

She wrote: "So scary but so glad you are OK!"

Jack Osbourne and ‘Stranger Things’ actor Finn Wolfhard were among other stars to send their best wishes to the director.

Jack tweeted: "Hey @ThatKevinSmith just sending you some love. Speedy recovery man.(sic)"

And Finn posted: "Yes, please stay awhile longer. Glad you are still here, and still graceful."

Anna Faris won’t leave home without a pair of sweatpants

Anna Faris keeps a pair of sweatpants in her bag at all times.

The ‘Mom’ star always makes sure she has a pair of comfy pants with her wherever she goes incase she has to jump on a plane and dash somewhere in a hurry.

She said: "When I get on a plane, I’ll change into sweatpants. So I’ll carry some black ones. I try to do a one colour idea."

The 41-year-old actress – who has five-year-old son Jack with her estranged husband Chris Pratt – also revealed she carries a "little clear crystal" with her wherever she goes.

Speaking to Us Weekly magazine for their What’s In My Bag feature, she added: "I’m not much of a mystic kind of person, but I have a little clear crystal rock that was given to me by somebody that I really care about a long time ago. I can’t believe I haven’t lost it."

Meanwhile, Anna previously insisted she will "always" be "incredible friends" with Chris despite their split.

She said: "We’ll always have each other and be incredible friends. There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still. We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up – unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter. It’s understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together. All I can say about that is, it’s all true, that we truly adore each other, and we love each other, I think it still comes through."

Anna Faris praises Jimmy Kimmel

Anna Faris has praised Jimmy Kimmel for speaking out about his youngest son’s health struggles.

The ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ host has used his platform on a number of occasions to detail the ongoing battle surrounding his 21-month-old son Billy – who was born with a congenital heart defect – and has received praise from actress Anna whose own son Jack, four, who suffered complications when he was born two months early.

Anna – who has her son with estranged husband Chris Pratt – said: "Jack had a few surgeries – he had a few hernia surgeries, he’s had a few eye surgeries and he had a little heart issue as well. When Jack was born two months early, it came as a huge shock and suddenly, your world completely shifts. The doctors and nurses that helped us and surrounded us were so unbelievably supportive that it inspired Chris and I and my parents to all get involved in this."

The ‘Scary Movie’ actress then spoke of the "incredibly moving" work Jimmy, 50, has been doing to try and bring accessible healthcare to young children who are in desperate need.

Speaking to Jimmy and his wife Molly McNearney – who also have three-year-old daughter Jane together – on her ‘Unqualified’ podcast, the 41-year-old actress said: "What you guys have been talking about and how vocal you’ve been in terms of the health of your kid and how many people have reached out to me and how you guys have been so passionate about the idea of children’s welfare and what we can do to ensure that all kids and mothers and parents have access to health care – It’s been incredibly moving. I really appreciate how vocal you’ve been. It’s meant a lot."

Jimmy – who also has daughter Katie, 26, and son Kevin, 24, with his ex-wife Gina Kimmel – and Molly also shared a health update on their son, after the tot recently underwent a second surgery on his heart.

Molly revealed on the podcast: "Billy’s great. He had his second surgery and he’ll have one more when he’s older. It was tough, but kids are so resilient – he had open-heart surgery on a Monday and we were home on Friday. It’s crazy."

Chris Pratt strips off for new low-calorie beer ad

Chris Pratt has stripped off to flaunt his bulging biceps and chiseled chest in his first-ever Super Bowl television commercial for Michelob’s new low-calorie beer.

The ‘Jurassic World’ star has set pulses racing in the advert, which has been released ahead of the NFL final this Sunday (02.04.18), as he is seen peeling off his kit and showed off his gym gains as part of a small-screen collaboration with the brand for their new ULTRA range.

Taking to his Instagram account, Chris said: "These days, I’m trying to stay in top shape for work. So when I see a beer I can’t help but squint my eyes and imagine a treadmill – Specifically how long I’ll have to be on that treadmill to burn off the beer. Michelob ULTRA has only 95 calories and 2.6 grams of carbs SO … I can run that off very easily. Probably in like 10 seconds? (I run 85 mph) Which really makes you wonder why I’m not playing in the Super Bowl instead of just doing a commercial that will air during the Super Bowl. So anyways, Michelob ULTRA doesn’t throw off my workout routine. And it tastes great. So … That’s what I call a win win. Check it out before it airs on Sunday."

In the one-minute advert, the 38-year-old actor can be seen working up a sweat in the gym, picking up the pace with his trainer and slaving away with heavy dumbbells, before relaxing with a pint of Michelob ULTRA around the table with his friends.

It then becomes apparent that the hunky actor is in training for the television advert and wants to be in the "best shape of his life for the big role", but he’s not worried about guzzling down the alcohol beverage in the evening because it’s low calorie.

And the temperature soars when Chris – who recently split from his wife Anna Faris – takes off his camo-colored tee to flash his ripped body as he chats away to himself.

Anna Faris OK with Chris Pratt dating

Anna Faris would love for Olivia Munn to date Chris Pratt.

The 37-year-old actress has denied rumours she is dating the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star and personally reached out to Anna, Chris’ ex, to say there is "0% truth" in the rumours.

In the screenshot posted on her Instagram account, Olivia wrote: "Hey there! Sooo… I would never respond to random tabloid stories, but since we know each other I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth. I’m sure you already know it’s not true, or maybe didn’t care either way, but I just wanted to reach out personally to tell you it’s not true. Anyway, I hope you had an amazing holiday and an even better 2018. (sic)"

However, Anna would be "thrilled" in the rumours were true and would love Olivia to be her "new sister in law".

In the screenshot, Anna’s message reads: "Hi!!!! Oh my god – this town is so f***ing crazy – you are so sweet to text – I love you – having said that if you were my new sister in law I would be thrilled – let’s please catch up soon (sic)"

Meanwhile, Anna previously insisted she is still "great friends" with her estranged husband Chris.

She said: "We’re great. He’s amazing. We’re great friends and we always will be … He was so kind to [write the foreword for her book]. I decided to write a book about my life experiences and when I started, I thought, ‘This will be a great journey. This is a great idea. I know what I’m doing. I’m 40, I can write a book.’ [Then] it’s like, ‘No. What was I thinking? This is a terrible idea.’ But what I like to think is the take away [is] that a lot of our problems tend to be universal – the idea of jealousy, loneliness, heartbreak. There’s a commonality no matter what profession you’re in or where you live and that’s something the podcast has taught me. We all have the same stuff going on."

Anna Faris says showering son with love is key to co-parenting

Anna Faris says it’s been important to surround her son with love since she split from Chris Pratt.

The ‘House Bunny’ star’s estranged husband filed for divorce last month after calling time on their relationship five months prior, and Anna has been talking about how she and the ‘Jurassic Park’ actor co-parent by bringing "joy" into five-year-old Jack’s life and keeping friends and family close by.

The 41-year-old beauty told E! News: "He’s surrounded by so much love. We constantly reinforce what a great kid he is.

"I think the key is surrounding him with a lot of joy and happiness, which he has a ton of.

"I think it’s those small moments in life, when your kid says something funny or like for me, I love what I do so I get a kick out of feeling like I nailed a joke well. And family and friends!"

According to legal documents, Anna’s filing was identical to Chris’, with both parties citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their breakup.

In both papers, the date of separation for the former couple – who got married in July 2009 – was listed as July 13, 2017.

The pair are understood to be seeking joint legal and physical custody of their child.

A source previously said: "They have a prenup. [In mirroring divorce documents,] they are both asking for joint custody of 5-year-old [son] Jack. We’re told the property settlement agreement is almost completely worked out."

Fans were hoping that the former couple would get back together, but hearts shattered across the world when Anna was spotted on a dinner date with her new boyfriend, cinematographer, Michael Barrett back in September.

The pair met on the set of her new movie ‘Overboard’ and have so far showed no desire to hide their new relationship from eagle-eyed fans and her ex-husband.

Anna split from Chris over summer but she is adamant they are still "great friends".

She said previously: "We’re great. He’s amazing. We’re great friends and we always will be. He was so kind to [write the foreword]. Vin Diesel is Forbes’ top grossing actor of 2017.

The 50-year-old actor topped the list for the last 12 months with $1.6 billion, largely due to his appearance as Dominic Toretto in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. His co-star Dwayne Johnson came in second place with $1.5 billion whilst Gal Gadot made an impressive $1.4 billion for her record breaking role in ‘Wonder Woman’.

‘Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson placed fourth with $1.3 billion whilst Johnny Depp and Daisy Ridley placed fifth and sixth with $1.1 billion and $1.08 billion respectively.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ star Tom Holland secured $888 million whilst ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt grossed $864 million. ‘Thor’s Chris Hemsworth ($845 million) and ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s John Boyega ($815 million) completed the top 10.

The figures have been calculated by adding together global ticket sales of major films from January until December 26, 2017.

It comes after Vin admitted he doesn’t think it’s "anyone’s fault" that ‘Fast and Furious 9’ has been delayed until 2020.

He shared: "I know there has been a lot of speculation as to why the Fast 9 release date was pushed … but it would be unfair to say it is anyone’s fault. As we plot the course to expand the Fast & Furious universe, one must be mindful to take stock of the roads we took to get here. The pillars of authenticity, family and most importantly, our loyal fan’s perspective has been instrumental in procuring success. However, like any vehicle that has run around the globe 8 times, the franchise is in need of maintenance. Jimmy Kimmel appears on talk show with son Billy

Jimmy Kimmel fought back the tears as he appeared on his talk show with his seven-month-old son – just days after the youngster underwent heart surgery.

The 50-year-old TV presenter returned to his show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ after having some time off last week while Billy went under the knife, and he held his son in his arms while hosting the first part of the programme and admitted the tot is "doing great".

He said: "I was out last week – because this guy had heart surgery. But look he’s fine everybody. He may have pooped but he’s fine.

"Daddy cries on TV but Billy doesn’t – it’s unbelievable.

"Billy’s doing great. He has one more surgery. He had an operation a week ago, they say he’s probably on track to win at least a bronze medal in the Olympics in 2036."

Jimmy thanked Chris Pratt, Tracee Ellis Ross, Neil Patrick Harris and Melissa McCarthy for guest hosting the show last week and taking time out of their "very busy lives" to allow him to have some time off.

He said: "I’m grateful for them for doing that."

Jimmy – who has kids Katie, 26, and Kevin, 24, with former wife Gina, and three-year-old Jane with wife Molly McNearney – also paid tribute to the "very bright and talented" doctors and nurses who looked after Billy in hospital and told viewers about a health insurance programme.

He said: "We want to thank the very bright and talented doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital who treated Billy and many kids with so much care and compassion–children from every income level whose health is especially threatened right now because of something you probably never heard of. It’s called CHIP [Children’s Health Insurance Program].

"Parents of children with cancer, diabetes and heart problems are about to get letters saying their coverage could be cut off next month. Merry Christmas, right?

"This is literally a life and death programme for American kids. It’s always had bipartisan support, but this year, they let the money for it expire while they work on getting tax cuts for their millionaire and billionaire donors."

Last week, Jimmy’s wife Molly praised him for speaking out about his son’s life-threatening condition on his show earlier this year when he revealed Billy had been born with a congenital heart defect, and had to undergo open-heart surgery when he was just three days old.

She said: "I sobbed through the entire thing. I couldn’t believe the strength that it took to tell that story a week after it happened. He didn’t have to do that. Our family has excellent health care; he had nothing to gain from that. He did it for the other people whom we met in that hospital. He came home that night, and I just hugged him and I wouldn’t let go."

Chris Pratt comes under fire after praising hunter

Chris Pratt has come under fire after congratulating a hunter who shared a picture of a slaughtered deer.

The 38-year-old actor – who is currently promoting his latest film, ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ – took to Twitter for a recent Q&A, but after being asked what his favourite animal is to kill, he was soon bombarded by fans.

In response to a fan’s photo of herself and a deer she had just murdered, Chris said: "I like it all but it’s hard to beat a good elk hunt. Congrats on your deer! (sic)"

However, his comment caused an uproar as people responded to his tweet, with one chiming in: "2017 and people still hunt? STILL?? Literally how (sic)"

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star replied in a tweet – which he has since deleted – detailing how someone goes about hunting.

He said: "Literally? People hunt by using modern firearm, archery or muzzle loading equipment.

"There’s an application process for licenses and tags which are available only during short, strictly enforced seasons.

"One must complete a hunter’s safety test to be eligible. I hope this helps. (sic)"

For his comments, the actor received a backlash from anti-hunting Twitter users and many were disheartened to see Chris congratulate the murder of the deer.

One wrote: "Knew Christ Pratt was a hunting fan already, but seeing him congratulate someone on the slaughter of a deer on twitter? Ugh. (sic)"

Back in 2015, Chris was widely criticised when he discussed his love of hunting.

At the time, the Hollywood actor said: "The thing inside me that drives me to go out and hunt is very animal. But the remorse, emotion and respect I feel, and the closeness to God that I feel when I’m out there, is my humanity.

"It’s an opportunity for me to explore what parts of me are animal and what parts of me are human."

Margot Robbie once refused to help her mother fight a python.

The Hollywood actress grew up on the Gold Coast in Australia and has recalled the surreal moment she walked out of her family home to see her mother Sarie trying to grapple the snake with her bare hands.

During her appearance ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Margot told the show’s stand-in host Chris Pratt: "This one time when I was in my bratty teen years, my mum came in and said, ‘Can you help me get this snake out of the house?’ And I was like, ‘Mum, I’m really busy on MSN, no!’

"She was like, ‘It’s a big one, though.’ I was like, ‘I’m so busy, mum, no!’

"She went away and after 10 minutes I was like, ‘Where’s mum?’ After a while … I went down and she’s on the driveway and there’s this python, it was huge, it had wrapped its way up her arm and it’s trying to strangle her around her neck."

The 27-year-old star admitted the hair-raising experience taught her a valuable life lesson.

She confessed: "I knew, from that point on, any time mum asked me to help her move a giant snake to just do it."

Meanwhile, Margot recently admitted she would love to spend more of her time in Australia.

The actress – who married the British film director Tom Ackerley in 2016 – hopes to go Down Under a bit more following the launch of her own production company.

She recently said: "Ever since we got the company up and running, I was like: ‘We need to work with young directors, first- and second-time directors – male or female; we need to work with female writers, directors, actresses, obviously, and Aussies wherever possible. And let’s shoot stuff in Australia!’ That is my dream."
